We will be running both an NRL and AFL tipping competition through our new Greyhound Racing Network.

Our new Greyhound Racing Network is the world’s first greyhound social network like Facebook or Myspace, but it also allows you to host your own website and blog absolutely free.

To celebrate the opening of our network we are running two tipping competitions.

They are FREE to enter and will payout $1,000 cold hard cash in each competition, providing we can get the numbers.

If we can get a minimum of 100 in each competition , we’ll look to add even more and if we get a few hundred in each we’ll look to add weekly and monthly prizes.

To join in, register your free account on the Greyhound Racing Network and then find both the AFL and NRL tipping competition groups and click request membership.

You must request membership for each group seperately as the two tipping competitions will be run as private groups, enabling each comp to have their own private forums. It is not enough just to join the Network, you must also apply for membership of the two groups, to join the footy tipping.

Hurry, there is no time to lose, the NRL competition starts this Friday so we need everyone to sign up and get their tips in.

You don’t have to be a member of the Greyhound Auction Sales site to play, so make sure all your friends, family, workmates and greyhound mates all get their free Greyhound Racing Network account and get the chance to play!

To change themes just go to “Appearance” >> Themes and select your preferred theme.

Some themes work better once you add “widgets” to them.  You can find them under ”Appearance” >>Widgets

A word of warning – while the “Buddypress Home Theme” will work, it is not ideal as blog theme.

Australian Greyhound Racing Network will be officially launched in April/May 2009.

Between now and then we would like you to use the site as normal, as we believe everything should be working normally.

You will be able to create your own blog for free and have anyone read your stories and opinions, post your photo’s, create your own interest groups and, of course use the forums. We are working on video hosting so you post your races here as well!

You will not (hopefully!) lose anything as we transition from this beat version to a fully integrated custom desgined website.
