Whata Nice Size has won three of four here and 10 of 16 overall and he appears to have a fair bit on this lineup. Last week he was able to lead all the way and score here in 31.06 and due to the state of the track I would expect him to shave many lengths off that time. He has a sizzling 30.53 PB here and with an ounce of luck early he should be scoring with ease, so looks a safe bet with William Hill.

Torque Flight is unbeaten in three starts and his effort to score here over 431m two runs back in a blistering 24.96 was eye catching. He is a very reliable beginner and he should settle outside or just behind the red in the early stages, I dont think he can reel the red in but he should fill the quinella spot.

King's Gem is armed with early speed and she was far from disgraced when placed in her heat last week, she has been placed in five of 10 here and with a clear run she can take home some minor money again.

I think they are three main chances but if you're looking for some more place value, it may be worthwhile keeping an eye on Windsor, he is well drawn out wide and he is an improving type.

Derek Zoolander can be hard to follow at times but when he pings away he is capable of reeling off impressive sectionals. He was soundly beaten when placed in his heat but the track was bogged last week and I'm expecting him to show some improvement. There is very little speed drawn around him tonight so with a clean getaway he should be able to assume control and he will prove hard to run down when on the .

With A Gee is showing plenty of promise and he reeled off great sectionals in his sizzling 30.69 win here three runs back, I'm not a fan of the wide draw but he does must speed well and the seven should bring him across in the early stages.

Majestic Jester continues to improve with every run and with a clear passage tonight she should make a big impact, this is her toughest test to date but she will continue to make her way through the grades.

Sivamet is armed with early speed and she has enough pace to get across and lead, two runs back she posted a speedy 30.76 victory here and she appears to be the only other winning hope.

Chevaleir Nuit is an improving type and he really caught the eye when placed in his heat last week. On that occasion he showed devastating early speed and he appeared to be flying off the back straight before the powerful War Picture grabbed him in the final stages. This is clearly the weakest semi-final and if he can find the lure early I can't see them reeling him in.

Waikarie Magic is the most experienced chaser in the event and she will be in the mix for the entire trip. She is aiming for a hat trick of wins and I am expecting her to improve on her 31.16 heat as it was her first look at the track last week.

Highlife can be hard to follow at times but she does have plenty of talent, she is poorly drawn in the middle but if she goes around at silly odds she could be worth an each way ticket.

Bogart Blend rounds out the chances, he has won two of four here and he continues to improve with every run.

Waikarie Warrior is one of the early fancies for the final and with an ounce of luck early he should be able to progress through to next week's decider. Last week he showed a great turn of foot after box rise and he never looked in doubt when posting a smart 30.95 on a wet track. He won at in a sizzling 30.06 at the start prior and if he finds the lure early on tonight a 30.50 run could be on the cards.

War Picture is the clear second pick, he powered to the line last week to score in a best of the night 30.63 and with a clear run again he will be right in the mix. The only concern with him is that he can be a tad slow to begin and he needs a lot to go right mid race.

Blue Scorpion rounds out the serious chances, he can be a little wayward at times but there is no doubting his talent, if he can settle behind the three in the early stages he should take it right up to the leader.

Pacific Champ is well drawn out wide and he will continue to improve, he lacks experience but he does have high speed and he could cause an upset.
