2016 Listed Superstayers – best odds & complete betting preview

MY Boy Brodie will aim to complete a feature race double in the sunshine state when he contests Thursday night's Listed Superstayers (710m).

The blue fawn dog guaranteed himself a start in the invitation-only, four dog field with a dominant victory in the two weeks ago and has been installed a $4.20 shot with Sportsbet.

Trained by Trevor Rice, My Boy Brodie will be just the fifth greyhound to complete the double if he is victorious this week, joining former stars (2006), He Knows Uno (2012), Xylia Allen (2014) and Dzeko (2015).

My Boy Brodie comes into the event in career best form, having won his past five starts, all over the staying trip, while a would also give his sire back-to-back wins in the feature, having also fathered 2015 winner, Dzeko.

Cyndie's Magic is the $2.70 equal favourite to take out the $25,200 event and will line up from the coveted rails draw, a box from which she has won five of her nine starts.

The daughter of Magic Sprite and super producer Regal Silver has won six of her last seven starts, her only defeat being a three quarter of a length second behind My Boy Brodie in the Albion Park Gold Cup.

Sharing favouritism is the classy Luna Jinx which is now in the care of champion conditioner Tony Brett. The blue bitch is a group 1 winner and won her last start over the track and trip, with the half-field sure to assist the back marker.

Rounding out the field is Ring The Bell for trainer Gerry O'Keeffe which is the outsider at $4.60. A brother to Sandown Cup winner Bells Are Ringin', the brindle dog qualified for the Albion Park Gold Cup last start, finishing seventh six and one quarter lengths off the winner.

A dual group 1 finalist, he will get every chance to settle closer in this race and is capable of a strong finish.
