ASTON DEE BEE (5) is a flying machine which won his Speed Star match race in 29.32 last week – putting him in third spot on the overall leader board behind Bewildering and Black Mumbo. Box five does him no favours this week, but he is racing high on confidence and should be ready to showcase his brilliant best.

BRUCE TYCOON (1) has won 10 races from the inside box so he is perfectly drawn in the cherry for this event. Two starts back he went 29.90 at , however he tends to go even better at Sandown Park where he has won 12 races over this track and trip. He is getting a bit long in the tooth these days, but he rarely runs a bad race and it would not be a surprise to see him finish close in this race.

REEFTON TREASURE (3) was far from disgraced when runner up in a heat of the Cup at his first start back from injury last month. He is probably better suited over the middle distance, but can sprint well fresh and is drawn on the right side of the track.

YARRAMAN ACE (6) isn't drawn too well, but he is a class runner and has the ability to run a big race at bold odds.

BEWILDERING (1) clocked a breathtaking 29.12 last week when winning the Bill Collins Speed Star over this track and trip. Well drawn in box one, just needs to begin and he should be winning.

TITO MJOITO (2) is a promising youngster which has built an imposing career as he has raced through the grades around the state. Steps up to the big time here, but he is well drawn, he has great early toe and can reel off fast time. Probably needs the favourite to make a mistake to win, but he is right in this.

(6) has a stack of ability and he can run a big race despite being drawn awkwardly. He boasts a 29.44 personal best at Sandown Park, but improves with every run and can probably go a bit quicker with a clear run.

(5) is one of the best greyhounds in NSW. Faces a big challenge from box five but he can't be left out of the exotics.

LUCKY CHAP (4) is better than his most recent run indicates. He can show great early dash and if he steps with the field he is capable of running blistering time. Not a huge amount of speed drawn directly on either side of him which gives him a great chance of finding the front in the early stages.

BLACK MUMBO (2) clocked a fast 25.25 when winning his match of the Speed Star last Thursday. The inside is perfect for him – if he gets a clear run in the early stages he should win, however he can be hit and miss at box rise which makes it hard to take the short odds.

ALLEN GERWEN (6) is a promising greyhound on the rise. Box six does him no favours, but he won here last start in 29.63 wearing green.

(5) is poorly drawn but he is a class animal and can never be discounted.
