Georgina finally broke through last time out and she did so in highly impressive fashion. She stepped cleanly and reeled off slick sectionals before stopping the clock in a very slick 30.46 at Ipswich. If she reproduces that type of effort she will win with ease.

Trap man was a strong 30.97 Ipswich winner on debut and with a clear run early he should be thereabouts again, his first section wasn’t great but he did miss away and show a solid turn of foot.

Below Par caught the eye with a handy 30.25 win here in October and on that occasion he flew to the first marker.

Macie’s Dingo could be the value, she has been placed in four of five here and she should run a big race at nice odds.

Johnathan’s Hope is much better than his recent form reads and he is drawn to make a big impact. From the red he should be able to poke through at the first turn and hold them out and when on the bunny he can run some serious time.

Aza Buzz hasn’t had much luck since his slick 25.01 Ipswich victory and he should be able to show some improvement, the box draw doesn’t help but he normally steps well and he should be able to avoid early bother.

Grin And Win has been placed in seven of his past eight and he shouldn’t be too far away again.

Titan Ash continues to improve with more racing and she should be in the mix again at nice odds.

Keybow is all class and he has won here previously in a blistering 29.67. Last time out he was far from disgraced in the Melbourne Cup final and he should find this race more to his liking.

Superfonic recently beat a class lineup at Sandown Park in 29.40 and with a clean getaway he should have enough speed to cross and find the early lead.

Cyndie’s Special is another who should settle on the speed and she has a great record here, if she holds them out she will give a great sight at odds.

Hougenie is extremely strong and she should be running home into some minor money.

8MELODY SERENADE231630.00Lyndall Massey

Happy Haswell is a gun chaser and he recently captured the Ipswich Cup Final. He isn’t too well drawn out wide but he is too good to tip against. With an ounce of luck at the first turn he should be able to get the cash.

Miner’s Moss has the good draw and he should be able to improve on some luckless runs of late, he normally musters speed very quickly and if he steps cleanly it’s hard to see anyone crossing him early.

Senor’s Mistress has a great record here and with a slow beginner drawn directly underneath she should get every chance to show her best.

Melody Serenade rounds out the chances, her last win came from this draw and she also posted her smart 30 flat PB here from this draw.

8KISS ME KETUT115229.82David Burnett

Grand Roman has a terrific record here and he sizzled throughout when posting a slick 29.97 win here two runs back. With very little speed drawn around him he should be able to settle in the top two early and he should prove too strong for Bill’s Fantasy.

Bill’s Fantasy has been racing in great form of late and if he holds them out he will prove hard to reel in again, his last 40m isn’t great but he has hit the line a bit better in his most recent efforts.

Kiss Me Ketut is all class and he was far from disgraced at Sandown Park last time when placed behind the highly talented Hostile. He has raced well here in the past and the wide draw shouldn’t pose too many problems.

Top Four: 4 – 1 – 8 – 7

Iva Vision recently won the Shootout at Sandown Park and tonight he returns to a track where he has won eight of 11 tries. If he can step cleanly he should have the speed to lead and if he avoids bother he should put a space in them.

Farmer’s Gold has his favourite draw and he should get a nice sit behind Iva Vision for most of the trip, I dont think he can reel him in but he should fill the quinella spot.

Yogi Blue is never far away in this company and he should be in the mix for most of the trip, the wide draw doesn’t help but outside of the inside two runners there isn’t much depth.

Top Four: 2 – 1 – 8 – 4

8PIKELET142129.88Ron Ball

Super Velo has scored some devastating wins here of late and if he can step away cleanly he should prove hard to hold out. Last week he was desperately unlucky and he should be able to make amends.

Awesome Project is all class and he has a slick 29.82 PB here, he should be able to settle near the speed with Super Velo and there shouldn’t be much between them at the end.

Le Sirenuse is the only other winning hope, she scored a strong 30.14 win here and she has great track sense, so she should be able to work through the field mid race.

8LOVE KILLS415629.91Brian Partridge

You Can Talk is a reliable beginner and she has won 12 of 30 over this journey. She consistently breaks 5.60 to the first marker here and that type of effort would see her lead easily tonight.

Clash Of Kings is a gun Victorian speedster and prior to the Melbourne Cup series he was on absolute fire.

Love Kills was a recent finalist in the Lismore Cup and he looks well placed in the wide draw, he is likely to be posted wide for most of the trip but he is very strong.

Honey Bouquet resumes from a spell, she is highly talented when on song and if she is fit she should run a big race.

Minnie Jayda is an exciting prospect and she hasn’t had much luck in her two runs here. In her past two starts she has pinged the lids and scored two top Ipswich wins, if she can bring that form to town she will take a power of beating.

Sonnet’s Special has a big engine and if he can step cleanly he should be able to put himself into contention early. In his past two defeats he has been slow to begin and he has found trouble in the run to the first turn.

What A Thursday is hit or miss early but she has proven in her past two wins that when she pings she can get the job done.

Skuzi rounds out the chances, he races best at Ipswich but he did put it all together here last week when winning in 30.17.

Ruby’s Swell is making her debut here over 520m but he did hit the line strongly when winning at Ipswich over 431m recently in a dazzling 24.90. From the red he should be able to hold them out and he will prove hard to reel in.

Killara has scored some strong Lismore wins of late and with an ounce of luck at the first bend she should be able to make an impact.

Hazy Jane is a member of a promising litter and she has been racing in great fashion at Ipswich of late, she has the speed to settle in a prominent position and she shouldn’t be too far away at the end.

Waikarie Magic is going to be well supported and she must be respected, my only concern with her is that she may get posted wide for most of the trip.
