Very open race to kick off the night but I think the box draw will make a big difference. Don't Double Up has continued to improve in recent weeks and he has displayed wonderful early speed in all of those races. From the red he should be able to poke through and hold the early lead and I'm expecting him to dash away mid race. He still isn't overly strong but he should pinch this event.

Tuff It is a member of the powerful Tony Brett kennel and he blew away his rivals when scoring at last time in 30.68. He is going to need some luck from the poor draw but he has slow beginners on either side so he should get a fairly clear passage.

By The Gallon was airborne early in her top 30.68 debut win at Ipswich and if she handles the track at her first look she will be right in the mix.

Bear For Breaky rounds out the chances, he scored a strong 30.55 win here last time and with a clear run he is capable of going much faster than that.

Lady Abigail is a highly promising type and she turned in a fantastic performance when placed here last week in very fast time. The draw is a disadvantage again but she does muster speed quickly and she should put herself into contention at the first bend. She is extremely strong in the run to the line and she should prove too good for this lot.

Fast Bean can be hard to follow at times but he has the ability to ping away and he has won here previously in a slick 30.06. If given room in the first 50-metres he should make the favourite work hard for victory.

Passive Protest can be a little inconsistent but she is very strong and she is drawn to get the gun run. Four starts back she posted a strong 30.36 win here and a similar effort tonight will see her be right in the mix.

Bralyn Amy must be included in your exotic bets, her record here isn't great but she has turned in three impressive efforts here in recent weeks.

Breathing Fire is probably better suited to a wider draw but he has a slow beginner drawn directly on his outside and he should be afforded a clear run in the early stages. Three starts back he was able to settle in the top two and he managed to post a slick 30.09 victory here, if he can hold them out tonight he should be able to break the 30 second mark.

Cyndie's Magic has been placed in three of her six starts here and she turned in a monster effort when placed here two runs back. She can do a lot wrong in her races but she does have high speed when given clear running and she could be great value.

Mr. Brand doesn't win a lot of races but he is armed with a very big finish and he has been placed in eight of his 14 tries here, he could be a good anchor for third and fourth in your exotic bets.

Full Of Attitude is a very fast beginner and she should be in the mix for a long way, she will need to lead clearly mid race to win but if not she can still run a place.

Pacific Harbour is well placed in the red draw and he is a reserve for the Group 2 Derby Final. He does his best racing from this pin and with a slow beginning wide runner drawn directly on his outside he should be gifted with the lead as they hit the first bend. His 30.07 PB here is quite impressive but I think if he finds the early tonight he is a chance of scraping under the 30 second barrier.

This Time Reba was desperately unlucky here last week and she should be featuring in the finish again, after beginning slowly she managed to roar to the line before going down narrowly. If she can balance up in the top three as they head through the bend she should finish in the top three.

Double Storm is probably drawn very poorly but he is too good to totally dismiss, his recent form isn't great but he does have a smart 30.05 PB to his credit and he has the ability to lead or come from off the speed in his races.

Blue Statuesque is a must for your exotic bets, she has the speed to settle in the top two and she might hang in for a long way.

Dynamite Speed has been flying in recent weeks and she looks well placed in the pink. She has been showing great early speed in her races and she beat a classy lineup here two runs back in 30.06. She has a couple of keen railers drawn directly underneath, so if she gets away on terms she should be able to drive across and assume control at the first bend.

Bull Titan has a great record here and he has the ability to lead or come from off the speed, five starts back he scored a powerful 30.12 win here and if he reproduces that type of run he can salute at nice odds.

Frosty Jay Jay returned to the winners list at Ipswich on Saturday and that was great to see because he has been a great chaser for a long time. I would prefer him from out wide but if he is able to get balanced and into some open space he can make an impact.

Minnesota Nice is going to be well fancied and she has claims, the concern with her is that she does ease through the corners and she doesn't like to be crowded, from the red she may experience some difficulties early.

Very even affair but if Kidatee Croc can step cleanly from the red he should be afforded all the breaks in the early stages. He has a terrific record over this journey and he did break the 30 second barrier back here in March. There are a couple of handy ones in this event but he has proven in the past that he is hard to get past when he lands on the lure.

Late Angel Lee is the current track record holder here and he has won two of his four runs back from a spell. He has been missing the kick of late but he manages to work his way through a field and he should be thereabouts again tonight.

Hougenie rarely runs a bad race and she has the speed to settle in the top three early, five starts ago she did run the hands off the clock when scoring at Ipswich in a breathtaking 30.24.

Renatus rounds out the serious contenders, he has finally drawn a box and he might be able to show a little more early dash. If he goes around at silly odds he could be worth a value bet.

No Donuts is the real deal and from the red he will get every chance to lower the colours of superstar chaser Dyna Villa. Last week he was slow to begin and he had to work overtime at the first bend, from the inside draw he should get every chance to hold them out early and I think he can go sub 29.70 with a clear run.

Quasi Bale was desperately unlucky in his heat and he could be the value in the event. Back in March he captured the Final and that win was probably the most impressive victory by any runner I have seen this year, he absolutely destroyed a great lineup.

Dyna Villa needs no introduction, he is an explosive talent and he reeled off sizzling sectionals in his 29.68 heat win, he is clearly a great chance of winning but I do think he is under the odds tonight.

Elusive Desire could be value for the place, he turned in a terrific performance when placed behind Dyna Villa in his heat and he isn't handicapped by the wide draw.

Dawkins Bale should have won his Derby heat with ease last week and he will look to make amends tonight. He was recently placed in the Final of the Golden Easter Egg and throughout that series he made Fernando Bale work hard for victory. He will be around the $2.20 mark with William Hill tonight which is short but he is better than this lot.

Iva Vision was a brilliant 29.87 winner here two runs back and he looks better placed in the pink draw, he has an amazing record here and with a clear run he is the only one that can test Dawkins Bale.

Bill's Fantasy has the speed to lead and he is never far away over this journey, with a slow beginner in the red he should find the rail quite easily and that will allow him to give a cheeky sight.

Farmers Gold has place claims, he will bomb the start but he does work home nicely and he can sneak home into third or fourth spot.

Birkdale Beauty is a reliable beginner and she has won four races over this track and trip. From the red she should hold them out quite easily and she has proven in the past that she is a hard chaser to get past. This is the weakest race she has contested for a while and she should be winning.

Love Kills is resuming from a spell but he has a great record here and he will be working to the line nicely. From the inside draw he should be able to drop in for a trail in the early stages and he should give the favourite a small fright near the line.

No The One can be hard to follow but when given a clear run he is capable of running time, if he can reproduce the effort which saw him win here in 30.26, he can make an impact.

Dashing Man is another strong chaser and he could be a good anchor for third and fourth in your exotics, he will get too far back to score but he should pick up some stragglers in the run home.

Tough race to finish up but I think we can find some value with the speedy Prince Frederick, he has been placed in six of nine over this journey and he does own a more than handy 30.09 PB. If he can carve across and assume control he should be off and gone with the prize mid race.

Killara is dropping in class and she will be steaming to the line late, she can do a lot of things wrong in her races but she will be big over's in this event and she is worth a saver bet.

Victory Prince turned in a solid effort when resuming from a spell here last week and from the red he should take a power of beating. I'm expecting him to be improved by that effort and if he steps well he should win, however you will be asked to take under the odds.
