Breaker Kahn looks well placed in the red and he was far from disgraced when placed here last Thursday behind Set The Scene. On that occasion he led for most of the journey and was nabbed in the shadows of the post, if he can lead again tonight he should give a great sight.

Wheels Of Fire should be suited by the wide draw and if given room in the first 50m he will prove hard to hold out, he has beaten a great lineup in his past two starts here and he appears to have the class edge.

Squall Bale is the run on type in the event and two starts ago he unleashed a monster finish to score here in 30.14, if the gaps open at the right time mid race he should be right in the mix.

Bogie Classic rounds out the chances, she can ping the lids at times and she can run time on the lure.

Top Four: 1 – 6 – 2 – 7

Irish Keepsake hasn’t had much luck in his past two tries here and she might be able to score at nice odds tonight. She is likely to start big odds but she has the speed to lead and she appears to be getting stronger with more racing.

Dashing Dee Dee has a slick 29.90 PB here and if she can improve her box manners she will take a power of beating.

Allinga Dot is the interesting runner, she has been placed in five of 11 here and some of those placings have been in sizzling times, if she can find the rail soon after the start she should make a powerful move mid race.

Boonoona Boy is the only other winning prospect, he is bursting to win again and he appears to be showing a lot more early speed than normal.

8ABSOLUTE BOSS255530.11Robyn Mackellar

Woodside Jagger should be suited by the wide draw and he should get every chance to lead throughout, in recent weeks he has been unlucky because he has been able to find the early lead but a strong chaser has landed on his back each time. Tonight he should be able to break away mid race and he should be running time on the lure.

Animate is never far away and her effort here two runs back was enormous, she will settle mid pack but she finishes off nicely and with luck in running she should feature.

Velocity Daff has the good draw but she rarely wins, once again I dont think she can win but she has great place prospects.

Allen Nemo is a class act when on song and he was a tad unlucky on Monday night, if he can settle in the first half he is capable of scoring.

Top Four: 6 – 2 – 1 – 7

8PSYCHOTIC GOLD411543.13Petar Jovanovic

Luna Jinx returned to racing with a blistering 43.07 win here last week and she should make light work of this lot. She is suited by the small field and as long as she doesn’t get crowded early she should take over mid race and put a space in them.

Psychotic Gold is resuming from a two month spell and if she is fit she will give the favourite a scare. She has won 11 of 19 here and she only needs luck in the first 50m to feature, my only concern is that she may give Luna Jinx too big of a head start.

Zara Mclaren is another with a great record here and she is drawn to run a cheeky race, she doesn’t have the talent of the other two but she is very honest.

8SPRING TYSON342130.03Tony Lagana

Aston Wingard is an exciting prospect and he should make every post a winner tonight. He doesn’t have great box manners but he does possess a blistering turn of foot, if he is given room in the first 20m he should get the job done. He is still a little suspect in the final stages but he should be good enough to hold on.

Spring Tyson showed a heap of improvement when scoring in 30.03 here last week and she should prove hard to reel in again, she must lead to win but if the favourite gets crowded early she will get every chance to find the top early.

Red Line Lad is very strong and she is well drawn out wide, he was a smart 30.26 winner here four runs back and a repeat performance will see him hit the scoreboard tonight.

Sporting Tears was a tad disappointing here last week but he can improve tonight, I dont think he can win because there is too much speed underneath but a top three finish isn’t beyond him.

Danyo’s Luke doesn’t have great form but his most recent racing has been in much stronger class and if he can get away with them on terms he can return to the winners list. He has bombed the start in recent weeks and he hasn’t been experiencing much luck, this is a big drop in class tonight so he just needs a few breaks to make an impact.

Big Zap is likely to start a short priced favourite and he too will be suited by the drop in class, he has been a tad disappointing in his past two runs but he is in good hands and I’m expecting an improved effort.

Disco Dave has the speed to cross and he should give a bold sight, he tends to stop in the last 30m but he should have enough in the tank to hold on to a top three finish.

Very open affair but I think Cairnlea Layla is drawn to return to the winners list. In recent weeks she has found bother soon after the start when she has crashed to the inside, drawn in the two tonight she should be able to find the rail easy and if she finds the bunny she will be reeling off sizzling sectionals.

Fancy Rick should sit just behind the two early and he will pressure her for most of the journey, I dont think he can reel her in but he should fill the quinella spot.

Black Bottle is flying and if he gets across he can win but he must lead to win his races and from the pink he is going to have to work very hard in the early stages.

Spring Charlotte is very honest and she must be included in your exotic bets, she has the ability to lead or come from off the speed in her races.

Emerley Senorita scored a tremendous 29.82 win here two runs back and she should lead from go to whoa again tonight. With a slow beginner on her outside tonight she should get plenty of room in the early stages and she is a class act.

Blue Viper has the good draw and she has won five of nine over this journey. From the red she should get plenty of room to drive through because both the two and three like to use a bit of the track as they head through the turn.

Set The Scene is armed with a monster finish and if he avoids bother early he will prove hard to hold out, he does make a lot of mistakes in his races so he will need to be a nice price to back straight out.

Gun Mcbain has the speed to cross and he can run a big race if he lands on the bunny, the only concern is that there is a fair bit of speed drawn underneath him.

Black Daddy caught the eye when scoring here two runs back in 35 flat and if he can turn in a similar performance tonight he will prove extremely hard to hold out. He will be suited by the smaller field and apart from Spring Amanda there appears to be no speed at all.

Spring Amanda should match motors with Black Daddy for most of the journey but she might get burnt off a little after mid way.

He’s A Villian could be the value, he is better than his form reads and he has won here in slick time previously.

Oran Bale is showing plenty of promise and he deserves a change of luck. His lack of early speed makes things difficult for him but he is learning to weave his way through a field and tonight he finds himself in a race which has numerous chasers that struggle to run out the trip. If he can get into some open space through the first turn he should be ready to pounce on the leaders as they turn for home.

Spring Pearl scored a strong 30.32 win here two runs back and she should give a good sight again, with a wide runner drawn on her outside she should get every chance to drive through at the first bend.

Alex Tyson rounds out the chances, he has been mixing his distances of late but he is much better suited to this journey.

Dyna Phoebe followed up her luckless SA debut with a brilliant 30.26 win here last week. If she can begin cleanly again she should get a clear run in the first 50m and she will take a power of beating.

Koombooyana Kid powered to the line in his recent 30.19 win here two runs back and he is suited to a wide draw, there isn’t much speed drawn around him so he should get all the breaks as they head into the first turn.

Irish Midge is never far away and she must be included in your exotics, whilst Ilys Bale can show early speed and she is improving with every run.
