Leg 1 – Bendigo – Race 4: Carbon Racer To Win $3.20
Carbon Racer is a highly promising speedster and he is drawn to get all the breaks. He has won three of 15 to date and two of three over this track and trip, so if he can do everything right at box rise, he should get every chance to score. There is a little bit of speed drawn on his outside, but he should show enough early toe to hold the rail and he should get to show his best whilst on the lure. $3.20 looks like a good price.
Leg 2 – Bendigo – Race 8: Sparkeen To Place $4
Sparkeen isn't the most talented chaser in the race but she does appear perfectly drawn and she does love racing over this track and trip. I'm expecting the red to fire to the early lead and he will be reeling off cracking sectionals, however that should allow Sparkeen to get a dream run through and she is quite strong in the run to the line. She is currently very big odds and I think she is more than capable of causing an upset.
Leg 3 – The Gardens – Race 8: Cobber In Motion To Place $1.50
Cobber In Motion had been struggling for a little while but last time out he showed his true colours with a powerful 30.05 Wentworth Park win. On that occasion he settled mid field but he really hit the line well and he gives every indication that this distance range will suit. All the speed is in the one, two and four, so if he comes out well he should settle in the top three early and that should allow him to take over mid race. He is currently $3.50 to win and he might be worthwhile backing separately for the win.
