Greyhound Betting Tips For Friday 21st June 2013

We managed a few last night, and like most people thought the SuperStayers would go Bell Havens way. But the Tassie champ surprised us all, by bounding straight to the front. Like most people I was surprised at this, but after a bit of thought; I came to the conclusion it shouldn’t have been much of a surprise at all.

Early on in her career, she was generally a good beginner who was able to lead. She run a fantastic time and full credit to the other 3 dogs who all stuck on quite well to make the placings an exciting contest.

Ipswich Greyhounds Race 7 Box 7 Stay The Night, 5.46pm

Massive run by this bloke last week when he was narrowly beaten. He’s drawn out wide again here, and while its not ideal, it wont affect him all that much. Most of the runners boxed inside him, are slow beginners and while he’s not a brilliant beginner himself. He might just have enough to clear them here early. He has a PB of 30.63, which is the quickest in the field. It’s been a while between drinks for the son of Just The Best, and today’s looks his best chance to salute again.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds, Race 2 Box 1 Back Page Lead 7.40pm

This will either go one of two ways here tonight. Either Back Page will win or run a place. I cannot see how she won’t figure in the placings tonight. Lets not forget most stayers are also accomplished 500m dogs, and can generally run very quick times; and that rule certainly applies to the super talented Back Page Lead. She’s only ever had the one run over the 520 here, from box 1 for a win in 30.23. She’s had a short let up, and is now dropping back in trip after a successful staying campaign. She’s got a big motor and this is by no means a hard race for the daughter of Brett Lee to win. Box 1 is perfect and as long as she holds her position, and they don’t skip away to far early. She should be finishing all over the top of them here. Don’t take silly odds, 4-1 is about the right quote.

Geelong Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 1 State Sensation 5.51pm

It seems a night of favorites at Geelong here tonight and it also appears one in which the old speed sire Elite State can sire a few winners. State Sensation should just simply win this 460m event here tonight from box 1. He’s got plenty of speed and strength and isn’t afraid to push hard when the going gets tough. His recent form at the Meadows has been good and he appears the winner tonight. But he won’t have things all his own way, with the very good Modest Ruler jumping from box 3. He too has been going great and recently posted a very fast 30.45 at Australia’s toughest 520, Cranbourne Victoria. Both dogs have early speed and both have great talent. Boxes win races and State Sensation has the box tonight.

Best of Luck
