Greyhound Betting Tips For Thursday 8th August 2013

Big night around the Country tonight in the greyhound world with both QLD and S.A holding there Sprint and Distance Championship Final. All 4 races look super competitive, and it's going to be extremely hard to find the winner with confidence.

The QLD Distance Championship on paper, looks to be Rylee's Reign for taking but punters , although he appears well drawn I get the feeling he prefers outside boxes, and he may find himself strung up early, even considering the slow beginners on his outside. He looks the one, but I won't be supporting him. In the Sprint, loves the pink and he'll take a power of beating. He's tough seasoned and knows how to get the job done.

The S.A Distance Championship is as open as they come. Cousin Callum should clear out early, but paddles on the line. I like the chances of Dyna Aline based on her return to form 3rd placing last week. She's a sneaky chance of running over the top of them. The Sprint is super tough, and I think the young up and comer Ali The Great, can get the job done here. He's flying at present, and can find the early lead. He's a big chance.

There's 4 hard races on offer and I'm sure we all can't wait to see the clash of the titans.

Albion Park Greyhounds Race 2 Box 1 Bens House, 7.05pm

It's a pretty solid card here tonight in the backward state. While I fancy the chances of a few runners, I am leaning towards Bens House for , who is a fantastic racer and generally gives his all. He's been in solid form of late and has drawn the cherry but he has bombed the box before. With the engagement of Frosty's House, it's sure to help the price of Bens House. If Ben can boot up early, inside of Frosty's House on the first turn he'll prove super hard to beat. He's strong, finishes of his races well and will push and shove when the going gets tough. If the big White Thunder beats him out it'll be a different story, with the conclusion uncertain. There's one more flying machine we're forgetting, and that's Surfin' Kawati; who has run far quicker time then all of these, but he's badly drawn and will have to explode from the boxes. Don't underestimate him though, he's very capable. Boxes win races and Ben's House has it. Stick with him.

Angle Park Greyhounds Race 1 Box 3 Wonder Whirl, 7.12pm

I know this girl will start the likely favourite, she is after all a flying machine but her run last week against the finalists of the S.A Sprint final was mammouth. She spotted the leaders a huge start, and was finishing like a train through the middle. I had a present good tri in the race, and was panicking when I saw her coming. This is a significant drop back on grade here, and she can ping ad lead when on song. If she does that, the question will be by how far; ut I'm not so sure she's in that form. So I suspect her to balance up midfield early and power of the top of this late. Based on last weeks run, she's unbeatable here in this. Great Bet.

Dapto Greyhounds Race 7 Box 5 Mellie Jayne, 9.38pm

There's absolutely no way this girl can get beat. If she does it will be because she beats herself. She can ping and lead and if she does its all over. She can also come from behind and still blow them away. They are really a bad lot and there should be no excuses given of she finds a way to get beat. Her PB of 34.82 is solid and I doubt any of these can run that, even with a complete form turn around. She looks the clear cut winner. If she does do everything wrong, the smokey is box 6 runner Johnny's Sunrise, but I doubt he'll jump and I see him caught up in traffic early. If he does find the bunny from the get go, he'll be super hard to reel in. Mellie Jayne, far to good here.

Hobart Greyhounds Race 8 Box 8 Lecture, 10.08pm

This bloke looks perfectly boxed and is clearly the one to beat for mine. He's got a great record from out wide and will get all the room In the world early on. He's got a motor and has a solid PB here and loves the track with a great record here. There a few in this race that look set to clearly struggle, and it appears theres only really 4 realistic winning chances – boxes 1,2,4,8. He's in great form like most of them, but with box and and his record here, I'm sticking with him. He may be overs here and if do he looks a great bet late in the night. Box them up in a tri, and if they fall the right way your sure to show a solid profit. Lecture to win.

Sandown Greyhounds Race 9 Box 1 Hawk Alone, 9.55pm

This fella looks the best bet of the night. He's low flying at present and should be a few lengths to good for these. He's got enough early toe to lead and can run out the trip really strong. He looks set to have a solid staying career and he looks the winner in this. He was superb here last week when leading all the way from box 4 and he comes further in tonight smack bang on the rail. The runners engaged on his outside don't appear a threat, and only the outside runners look able to challenge him; but by the time boxes 7 and 8 get around the first turn, Hawk Alone should have already established a winning lead. He can go quicker then his PB of 34.41 and he should just win. Sandown's best bet.

Best Of Luck
