Yesterday's Results: Cousin Callum – Winner $1.70, Adrenalienum – Unplaced, Greysynd Bomber – Unplaced, Sheza Delight – Unplaced, Rumbling Rick – Unplaced.
A total disaster unfolded last night. We never ever looked like getting close to running a place with one of our selections. It was only the odds on pop who stopped it from being a total blackout. But we have those days in this game, and fortunately today's another day. So we will do out best to get it back on track.
Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 3 Space Wave, 5.40pm Qld Time
We have to wait till the end of the meeting here today to find a winner worth backing. Space Wave is hopefully that winner. The Tony Zammit, trained Space Wave, a few starts ago went sensationally well when running second too Bralyn Casey over this trip. She began well and I know she was very well supported by on course patrons. It took an inform Bralyn Casey to wear her down. Today it appears she can lead from the get go. Expect her to possie up in the lead, or very close to it; and with clear running she should go mighty close to wining this.
Gawler Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 3 Russian Red 2.38pm Vic Time
The flying Russian Red has a huge motor when he decides to switch on. He's posted a couple of flying times throughout his career and he went super last start over the 600, running second to the freak Kalden Mayhem. There doesn't appear to be a great deal of early speed, and he may be able to hold quite a close position early. He's suited by the 3 box, and should drop out and come hard along the rails. If he decides to go, theres no doubt he should win this. Don't take silly short odds though, $3.00 should be about the right price.
Devonport Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 3 Din's Harvey, 1.57pm Vic time
Din's Harvey is in fairly good form for trainer Mick Stringer. Forget his last run from box 8 where he was not suited. He grows a leg from an inside box and can win this. Half the field are yet to taste success and there is no excuse for the ex Victorian chaser in this. He only needs a safe beginning and a clear passage to run them down and win this.
Gosford Greyhounds, Race 2 Box 1 Chum Lee, 7.20pm NSW time
I could not help myself here, and I had to tip the fantastical named Chum Lee. Not only is he by the greatest sire of all time, Brett Lee. He's named after my favorite tv show, Pawn Stars; wich is an American show that showcases items brought in to a Las Vegas Pawn shop. Chum Lee is a star of the show. The dog Chum Lee has performance trialled in a quick 30.93 at Richmond; and from the red box he should be right in this. Go Chum Lee!!
Warragul Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 6, Good For You 9.09pm Vic time
The Queensland owned Good for You has a little bit of a wrap on him. He has gone quite well, recently but is quite moody. I don't think we have seen the best of this bloke yet, and I'm hoping he can produce it here tonight. He has good early toe, and will go straight out of the boxes. Benmar Pete is the main danger and likely favorite, but if Good For You can produce his best effort I expect him to win.
5 selections for today's meetings and hopefully we can reverse the form of yesterday, and find a few winners. Good For You should be our best value for the day and hopefully start around $5.00.
