Leg 1 – Wentworth Park – Race 7: Bessy Boo To Place $1.91
Bessy Boo loves racing around this track and trip and the middle draw is actually a positive for him tonight. In boxes one to three, there is an abundance of early speed, so they should all be well in front of him at the first bend and that will allow him to find the rail without too much trouble. Once he finds the rail he is able to make his move and he is extremely strong in the run to the line. He might get too far back to win but he is drawn to get a nice run through and a top three finish is on the cards.
Leg 2 – The Meadows – Race 8: Ernest Bale To Place $1.91
Ernest Bale doesn't have great form at present but he is clearly a lot better than that and from the inside draw he should be in the mix at the half way stage and a top three finish looks likely. I'm expecting the three and four to cross early but he should be able to cross the red, so he should be sitting in around fourth spot as they head for the back straight. He is extremely strong in the run to the line and he loves racing around this circuit. It might be worthwhile backing him to win separately as well.
Leg 3 – Traralgon – Race 11: Eli's Jet To Place $1.67
Eli's Jet is ideally drawn outside and he should be suited to the wide draw. In recent weeks he has recorded some top placings at Healesville and tonight he steps back up to a more suitable distance, so if he can step cleanly, he should get a nice cart across from the seven in the early stages and with a trouble free run he should prove too strong for his rivals.
