Ipswich Greyhounds Race 4 Box 8 Sundance Calypso 4.58pm
There's only one chance here today and that's the talented daughter of import sire Fear Zafonic, Sundance Calypso. Rylee's Reign could upset the apple kart, but I highly doubt it. He's gotta be one of the most talented, unreliable chasers going around. He flys one week and refuses to go a yard the next. Sundance Calypso, from box 8 should have no trouble carving across from out wide here today. Once she leads its all over. She has a brilliant 37.52, and they would wanna be exceptional to knock her off here today. She'll be favorite, but will be winning.
Gawler Greyhounds, Race 11 Box 4 Crumbs, 4.12pm
Another dog who should just win. We tipped the fellow a couple of weeks ago, when he bombed the start and was beat here at Gawler. It's a much easier field here today, and this bloke has the early toe to jump and run. As I said the other day, he's getting back to his best, and I can't see him being beat here today in this. His trainer Mathew Payne is generally quite consistent, but hasn't had a lot of winners of late. I'm nearly sure he will be leading one home here today.
Wentworth Park Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 1 Pride Of Mykonos, 7.57pm
It's been a while between drink for this son of Magic Sprite, but he's come up with the perfect box here tonight. He has won here in a solid 30.13, and does have really good early toe. He's not the hardest chaser and does ease at times. But on tonight's race he has enough early speed to lob straight onto the bunny, and give then something to catch. 4 starts back he got the job done at double figure odds. He won't be that here tonight, but he looks a fantastic chance from a great box. He should be each way odds in this tonight.
Geelong Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 7 Golden Goal, 9.10pm
This selection is only a rough eachway chance. But she has plenty of talent but is struggling of late. She has got good early speed and if she's able to find the front she will be extremely hard to run down. She's run a couple of nice races at the Meadows, a while back and can turn it around here tonight. Big chance from a good box.
