Greyhound Racing Tips For Monday 30th November 2009

Greyhound Racing Tips for Monday 30th November 2009 with Tips tonight from Cranbourne (Victoria), Wentworth Park (New South Wales), (Queensland) and Angle Park (South Australia).

With racing from Cranbourne (Victoria), Wentworth Park (New South Wales), Albion Park (Queensland) and Angle Park (South Australia), lets just review some of our betting advice for the way those tracks play.

Cranbourne races over the 311m, 520m and 699m distances. Punters should stay away from the 311m races as a short run to the first corner cause unpredictable results and leaders usually win. Box 8 is a huge advantage in these races. The 520m distance runs more consistently and the track show a more normal distribution of the four “bookend” boxes performing best. The 699m races are run infrequently and usually contain one standout selection.

Wentworth Park went from being a very fair track to a leader biased track with the addition of “transition turns” to the corners in the mid 90's. Leaders have been advantaged ever since that track modification and consequently red box draws are small advantage over both the 520m and 720m distances now.

Albion Park was the first track in Australia to move to the finish-on system and it is definitely the better of the two Queensland TAB tracks. A lack of depth in a lot of races can cause upsets at Albion Park when favourites are over-rated or suffer interference. Tread warily when betting on the corner start 600m races; and the 700m races will often throw up odds-on favourites that have alot of weakness about them.

Angle Park is all about leading to the first corner, class dogs will knock up winning in South Australia as their is a definite lack of depth, even at higher grades. Again be wary of betting in 600m and 700m events at Angle Park as in many cases it is just the last throw of the dice for connections and there are very few genuine stayers.

Cranbourne Greyhounds – Race 4 – Box 2 – Connor's Fury

Connor's Fury looks to be well above average based on his first official race start and his qually win at Traralgon. After an all the way qually win in 30.09 he overcame trouble to win the maiden qualifying final in 30.68 by 6.75 lengths. Another of the 's this greyhound might just be one to follow.

Cranbourne Greyhounds – Race 6 – Box 8 – Gangitano

Gangitano, the son of ~ Royal Sal has been accumulating a handy record having won 3 of 9 starts and ran 30.75 here last start to win the heat of this race. On the face of it will have to go quite a bit quicker to win this final, but is well drawn for this and with the quickest winners drawn awkwardly, and upset win at odds looks likely.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 4 – Box 2 – Billy Bobaggings

One of Australia's real up and comers appears on debut here at Wentworth Park, and given the fact that connections knocked back $50,000 for this young greyhound, lets hope their decision is justified. Regardless of that though, has already gone within 2 lengths of the Bulli 515m and after gettign beaten at Richmond by the smart Magic Sprite, made amends by winning there last start in 30.69 coming from behind. If there is a risk it is his box manners, but is much better than these.

Albion Park Greyhounds – Race 4 – Box 1 – Premier Chief

Premier Chief loooks the obvious tip in this having started here at Albion Park over this track and distance 50 times for 11 wins and 26 placings. Has won 2 of his past 4 starts in 30.43 and 30.74 and gets a box 1 draw tonight. Wasn't disgraced last start just going under to Back Attack in 30.13 and should give this an almighty shake.

Angle Park Greyhounds – Race 3 – Box 2 – Extra

Prolly not a lot of odds on offer here but Angle Park tipping can be tough at the best of times. Extra has won the last 4 of her 5 career starts here and at and looks an edge above these. Has early pace which is necessary here at Angle Park and box 2 although this will be her first run from and inside draw it is hard to go past her.
