Stuzzichino has been racing in consistent fashion and he should appreciate the drop in class tonight. There isn’t much speed drawn underneath him in this event so with a clean getaway he should be able to cross and find the rail in the early stages.

She’s Illusive has won two of four over this trip and she is a reliable beginner. With an even getaway she should be able to settle in the top two or three early and she should be there in the finish.

Idle Ways is the interesting runner, he comes here with steady Victorian form but he has won here previously in a slick 29.96. If he reproduces that form he can run a big race.

Bogan Central rounds out the chances, he has been struggling of late but he has his favourite draw and if they shuffle up early he may be able to zip away mid race.

Top Four: 4 – 5 – 7 – 1

Spot Goes Racing hasn’t had much luck in recent weeks and he should find this race more to his liking. He recently dropped back to the 388m journey and that will have sharpened him up for tonight’s assignment. There is a bit of speed drawn in the one and two and that should allow him to get a nice sit in the early stages.

Allen Namor is another who drops in class tonight and his effort two runs back behind Bogie Yates was impressive, he should be able to settle in the top three early and run a cheeky race.

Cerrone has been handily placed in his past three and he is nearing a win, his last 50m isn’t great but he should give a great sight for most of the trip.

Black Gecko is the value, he is well drawn out wide and if he steps cleanly he may have enough speed to cross.

Top Four: 4 – 5 – 2 – 7
