Canino has proven to be quite inconsistent in her brief career, but she has shown in every start that when she gets out into open spaces she can produce a dazzling turn of foot. From the favourable pink draw tonight she should get a clear run early and I would expect her to assume control after 50m or so. Ruthless Girl has been beginning well of late and she is in good form. Her last start placing at Warragul was very impressive and she should bring Canino across in the early stages. Daintree Puzzle is the run on dog in the event, she has been racing over the 595m trip of late and I would expect her to be running home into the placings.

High Commando returned to his best form here last week with a brilliant 24.99 heat win and from the good draw he should be able to go back to back. Drawn underneath him is the speedy Mamba and that should allow him to get a nice cart across in the initial stages. Juan Diego has a heap of talent and if he is given some room early he should make an impact. Last week he posted a strong 25.02 heat win and he appears suited with the wide running Benny Bowen drawn on his outer. Early Notice was the slowest heat winner in 25.48 but she lost a heap of ground early and her effort to score was mammoth. Mamba rounds out the winning chances, he must lead to win but if he can repeat his 5.23 section from last week that would be enough to cross
