Greyhound Tips For Friday 7th June 2013
Wentworth Park Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 3 Cold Fiction, 7.58pm
Tough race with all runners a chance to collect the winners cheque of $3300. Cold Fiction looks the hardest to heat for mine. He has enough early toe to lob 2nd or 3rd and will push through, and come from behind to win. He has a pretty fair PB of 30.12, although he's yet to win here. His record here ain't to bad either with 6 minor placings from 12 starts. If he lobs into a nice position tonight he's going to be mighty hard to hold out.
Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 10 Box 1 Hara's Nicky, 6.48pm
Going to go with a out of form chaser who has plenty of go. She has had 6 goes here and failed every time but she loves box 1 and if she produces her best she will no doubt flog these. Sweet Lips is going to be the hardest to beat, and she generally begins very quickly. They appear the two main chances, and I'm going with Hara's Nicky for the value.
Geelong Greyhounds, Race 11 Box 1 Miss Mercantile 10.30pm
We have to wait to nearly the last race here tonight but the former Cockroach/Canetoad loks mighty hard to beat here in this. When I'm training with John Dart, she raced really well winning over the 520 at Albion and knocking up winning a fair few races. She's struggled a little of late, but there was plenty of merrit in her last start at Sandown. Where she flew around for 450m or so.
Back to the 400 tonight, and from box 1, I doubt they can beat her. We might be able to get $2.40 and at around that price she looks a near certainty.
Mandurah Greyhounds, Race 2 Box 6 Give And Take 6.57pm WA time
I never thought I'd be backing this bloke. Most of the time he starts at $1.20, but his form has slipped of late and it appears he may get out to backable odds here tonight. The former Queenslander raced by The Robartsons has earned nearly $100,000; not bad for a sprinter who races mostly over the 400m journey. He has enormous speed and talent and only needs a clear run to destroy these here tonight. The box won't worry him, and as long as he jumps he will be winning. It's about time he entered the winners circle again, and if he salutes tonight I suggest following him up the week after to.
