Greyhound Tips For Monday 24th June 2013
It's the start of a new week, and hopefully the start of a successful one on the punt. We've been pretty light on over the last couple of nights but we've done the form watched the replays and are determined to find a few winners.
Albion Park Greyhounds Race 1 Box 3 Battistuzzi, 6.42pm
It's rare I tip a maiden dog, even more so a first starter; but the Frank Hancock trained son of Collision and Dulcenia, a bitch who was a externally fast but had limited start and is my on top selection here in this. I know this bloke hails from a pretty handy litter, in which there is some extremely fast dogs. It's not to often Frank comes to town without a chance of winning. I have no idea what price this fellow will start, but he's struck a really well bred one here in the form of Raven Pearl. A daughter of Surf Lorian and top producer Ultra Swift for trainer John Edwards and Owner Terry Hines. If he has anywhere near the ability of his siblings there's no doubt Battistuzzi will be hard to beat here.
Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 2 Box 1 Who De Punk, 6.53pm
I've been eagerly awaiting for this bitch to draw a good box and tonight she has finally come up with it. The daughter of Collision and Punk Angel, has already posted a fast 30.14 here when winning her maiden by a nostril. She was a little stiff last week and didn't really get into the race at any stage but she does show top mid race acceleration, and from the cherry tonight I also believe she can land in front. She's certainly a bitch with potential and I'd be backing her with confidence here tonight.
Bulli Greyhounds Race 7 Box 3 Buster Shiraz 9.10pm
Super hard race with 5 realistic chances all vying for the prize money and Blue Paws bonus. The son of Knocka Norris and Winning Shiraz, Buster Shiraz is my on top selection here after winning his last two straight her at Bulli in very quick time. With another good jump and performance this bloke should be the first down onto the rails ahead of his main dangers. Boxes 3,5,6,8 who will all be out to spoil the party. He's run similar time to most of the runners here, but I did like the way in which he went in winning here last week. He's well boxed he's young and strong and punters could go worse then backing him at 3-4 -1 tonight.
Launceston Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 4 Orange Boy 8.35pm
This bloke hails from the brilliant litter by Aston Gaililee and Patsy Anne. He's probably the slowest in the litter I've seen race but is by no means hopeless. He started the favorite last start at Devonport but come up short after failing to show a great deal of early speed. He was left a bit flat footed and was unable to make up the ground in the run to the line; but I think he will be able to find the front far early tonight and of so take a power of beating. His main danger is Dark Gladiator a Brother of the talented Terror Time, who has been setting tongues wagging of late with her ability to run out the 700 staying trip. He too will need to get forward early, but he might find it difficult coming across from outwide as the lids fly open without a great deal of early toe. There no doubt he's going to be a serious contender if he manages to bounce forward early. Orange Boy with a fair jump looks the one to beat here tonight.
Best Of Luck
