Yesterdays Results: Custom Idea – Winner $4.00, Premier Boloney – Winner $1.70, Quiz Bake – Winner $1.70, Burzynski – Third, Aston Ablett – Unplaced, Wy Gunya- Second.
Custom Idea, did the job for us yesterday at Albion Park, I thought she might be value and she was $4.00 – What a great price for a super bitch! She won like a $1.30 pop, flew the lids went straight to the front and raced away running quick time of 22.85. Keep you eye on her now she's won one, her confidence will be sky high.
A full card of racing again tonight with quality runners engaged all around the country. Albion Park's highlight is the QLD Young Guns, which sees the very smart Raging Obession take on high quality chaser Starliner. Both dogs have drawn very well and look like running a huge race.
Starliner is perfectly boxed and although slow to begin he has a tremendous turn of foot. If they jam up around the first turn look for this fellow to descend down the outside. Raging Obession is a youngster on the improve. He went really well last start, and the wraps on him are huge. Lets see if he can handle his toughest test to date here tonight.
Albion Park, Greyhounds Race 6 Box 6 Bralyn Casey, 8.28 pm Qld time
Tonights Albion park selection is the inform Bralyn Casey for trainer Jamie McHugh. Casey has been going super and has been set for this race. She won last start at Ipswich at incredible odds of $13.00 and in my opinion should of started favourite; so we may have missed the big odds with Casey. Bralyn Casey also looks a huge chance here again tonight. This is her first go over 720 at Albion but she handled the staying trip really well,when she won first up at Ipswich. She has the early speed to land in a forward position, and will take a power of beating in this. She's super fit and rearing to go for tonight. Big chance.
Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 4 Cousin Callum, 8.15 pm Vic time
We tipped you guys this fellow a couple of weeks ago over this trip but unfortunately he was scratched. He meets are far better line up than last time we tipped him, but we are going to stay with him here. From the center box, he should go close to leading. He has a super fast PB over this journey, and although it was a long time ago he's still going nearly as well now as what he was then. He has to contend with Miss Woods, and Fantasizzing, who went super first go here last week when narrowly going down to Miss Woods, who had to pull out a near best career effort to hold her off. He has the early toe and if he lands in front of his two main dangers, they will find it very difficult to catch him. Don't take silly odds though – $2.80 should be about the mark.
Dapto Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 8 Noisy Blue. 9.58 pm NSW time
I'm going to lay the favourite Compass here. She won her last two at Bulli really well. But she may find this much tougher having to lid ping from a bend start. It can bring a lot of dogs undone. So I'm going with last weeks winner Noisy Blue who won from the same box in a fast 35.03. He should ping and take a power of beating if he finds the front early. He can run the time and only needs to repeat last weeks effort to go very close here.
Sandown Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 6 Tweed Bah Day, 9.55 pm
Tweed Bad Day has been transferred to the Kennels of Victorian trainer Kel Greenough and has been freshened up for this. He's definitely better over the longer journey but he has a huge motor and may run right over the top of these here. What ever he does tonight he will certainly improve on and keep following him. He's only a each way chance tonight or back him for a place only. He may be big value.
Hobart Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 1 Shanlyn Johnno, 10.28 pm Vic time
This bloke looks like he is getting back to his best and has drawn well here tonight to continue on his winning way. He has a huge motor and no doubt he will be short here tonight. Really fast dog with a bright future if he can learn to race a little. If your coming into the last here and doing it a bit tough, I suggest you empty the kick onto this fellow. You're only going to get $1.70 odd but it may give you a chance to salvage something from the night.
Well I'm not superstitious, but I've selected 3 runners with corresponding boxes and races. For those of you who are superstitious it may represent something.?
