Leg 1 – Albion Park – Race 9: Master Corsair To Place $2
Master Corsair has been racing in solid style of late over the 395m journey here and he should be suited by the rise in distance. In recent times he has been finding bother soon after box rise, over the longer journey, he should get a lot more time to get balanced in the run to the first turn and he should be in the top two as they head for the back straight. The last 30m is a small concern but I'm a big fan of this chaser and he will make a nice sprinter in the coming months.
Leg 2 – Shepparton – Race 5: Laredo To Place $1.57
Laredo hasn't won for a little while but she has shown great early speed in her most recent efforts and the drop back in distance should work in her favour. There isn't a whole lot of speed drawn around her, so if she can step cleanly she should be able to fire to the early lead and if she finds the top, she will prove very hard to reel in. She is a nice price at $4 to win and I think it might be worthwhile to back her straight out separately.
Leg 3 – Nowra – Race 8: Opera Win Me To Place $1.91
Opera Win Me doesn't win very often and her most recent form doesn't look great, however she is much better than that and she recently impressed when runner up in a trial here behind the talented Lani Banarni. I'm expecting the one and three to show a fair amount of early zip, so if she can just lob in behind them, she should get a nice trail into the race and she should be there to strike as they turn for home. It might be worthwhile taking the three of them in a seperate multi at mid tote, as I think the second and third legs are a chance to pay overs.
