Yadi is a highly promising speedster and he is resuming from a two month spell. He is in the astute hands of and he should be primed for a bold first up showing. Last time out he showed a dazzling turn of early speed when scoring at Cranbourne in 30.13 and if he is near peak fitness he should make light work of this line-up.

Lola's Entity has been a little inconsistent in her brief career to date but she has shown some great signs. Three starts back she exploded out of the traps and posted a slick 29.97 Meadows win, if she reproduces that effort she will be right in the mix.

Hakata Bale is drawn to get the gun run behind the red and if the favourite is a run short there is every chance he could run over the top of him in the home straight.

Connor's Rocket rounds out the main chances, he has been placed in three of five here and he does have a lot of talent, he just needs some luck in running.

Very good race and it will be interesting to see what the exciting Avondale Al can do in his Victorian debut. He hasn't raced since December but he has joined the Greenough kennel and I'm sure he would be at peak fitness. Prior to going for a spell, this is explosive talent broke the track record at just his second race start, if he pounces on the bunny tonight I think he can easily go sub 29.30.

Kayda Shae is rising in class after two sizzling Warrnambool wins but he gave every indication in his 25.13 Warrnambool win that he will have no trouble covering the extra journey. He should be able to match motors with Avondale Al for most of the trip but I dont think he can hold him out overall but he still looks a good quinella prospect.

Walt Bale has been a money muncher of late but he still must be respected. He is going to settle back in the field but he is quite strong and he could be a good anchor for second and third in your exotic bets.

Shanlyn Jed has the good draw and if the inside two make any mistakes he will look to capitalise early, he has plenty of early speed and he has been runner up in three of his four tries over this journey.

Another great race and I can't wait to see what Midnight Ride does in his metro debut. Last time out he showed a ridiculous turn of foot when breaking the 500m track record and he appeared to power to the line in that race. He does meet some very talented chasers tonight but there isn't a whole lot of speed on his outside so he should get a fairly clear passage in the run to the first bend.

Kevlarr has recently joined the powerful Ennis kennel and he is much better than his form indicates. He has only had the one run this year but in the middle of last year he had scored some eye popping wins at before injury struck. From the red he should be able to hold a forward spot early and if he is near peak fitness he should prove hard to hold out.

Rocka Hula Baby has a zippy 29.54 PB over this trip and she has been powering to the line in her most recent efforts, she should be able to get a nice sit in the early stages and if the leaders bunch up she may swoop over the top late.

Charleston must be respected at odds, he was far from disgraced when placed here last week and he should improve on that run.

8SMART MAXWELL [5]2712334.17(2)D Coleman (Lara)

Deadly Vane is making his middle distance debut and he is a little query over the journey but I think he will have a big enough lead mid race to hold on. He normally doesn't ping away but he does muster speed at a rate of knots and there appears to be very little speed drawn around him. If he can find the early lead he should get away mid race and pinch the event.

Yanick Allen could be the value, she has scored some ridiculous wins at The Meadows of late and she gives the indication that she can run this trip right out. She has a keen railer on her inside so that should allow her to get a nice cart into the race.

Wind Whistler has turned in some massive performances of late and he will be steaming home at the end.

Jewel Bale is the interesting runner, she had been struggling for quite a while but she has shown some good signs in recent weeks and she will be suited by the rise in distance.

Deadly Boy obviously has a great chance but I think he is a risk from the awkward draw.

9TAN TIKI [5]Res.33256FSTDV Borg (Hoppers Crossing)

Dzeko has been costly and disappointing in recent weeks but she appears really well graded tonight and with an ounce of luck early she should be scoring. Prior to coming to Victoria she had scored some explosive Albion Park wins in her brief career and she is yet to show the same mid race dominance. There is no speed on her outside tonight so she should be afforded all the breaks in the early stages.

Lites And Sirens is never far away in these types of races and she will be charging home at the end. She has been taking on much stronger company of late and I can see her settling just beyond midfield in this event.

Bailey Rose has the good draw and she is another consistent chaser who has been placed in five of nine here. She generally lacks mid race speed but if she can hold a prominent spot early she should be there at the end.

Berry Blitz rounds out the chances, she has been racing well in strong company of late but I am a little concerned about her record here which includes only one placing from five tries.

Another super line up of highly promising speedsters and I think one of the more experienced chasers in Lektra Concord can get the job done. He has won four of eight over this journey and he showed great mid race dash when posting a smart 29.46 heat win last week. He should have the speed to cross the inside division and he may be off and gone with the prize mid race.

Angie Rocks is the real deal and she powered to the line in her blistering 29.27 heat win, she exits the same draw tonight but there is a lot more speed drawn around her, so she will still need to do everything right early.

Decanus turned in a monster effort in his heat and he appears to be back to his best form. He will get a long way back early but he does power to the line and he could be a great anchor for second and third in your exotic bets.

Sacramento Sal could be nuisance value, she is drawn to get a nice cart across from Angel Of Music early and if she happens to lead she may prove hard to reel in.

Fever Pitch is probably the only other winning hope, he has a big engine but he is still learning the caper and he will need some luck in the initial stages.

Cambridge Prince is likely to start nice odds and I think he could be a great bet. He can be a little hard to follow at times but last time out he led for a long way when narrowly beaten by the classy Beks at The Meadows. If he can step cleanly again tonight and lead, he should be able to sneak away mid race and he could salute at big odds.

Shanlyn Lucy is likely to start favourite and she should give a great sight, however she is making her 715m debut and I'm not convinced that she will run the trip. Two starts back she posted a sizzling 34.15 when winning here over the 595m trip and a repeat of that will see her be in the mix for a long time, the last 50m is a worry but this race isn't overly strong.

Know Danger is a talented Kiwi stayer and he didn't have much luck in his Australian debut and he is better suited to this journey. He can show good speed in his races so if he can settle in the top three he should make his presence felt.

Macca's Sway is a must for your quaddie bets, he should get a clear run early and he is more than capable on his day.

Light ‘Em Up made his metro debut and he looked impressive when scoring in 29.71. The time wasn't too flashy but he overcame some bother early and he had to work hard mid race. From the red he should get a clear passage early and I can see him holding them out at the first bend. He is getting stronger with every and I think he can get down to the 29.40 mark if he finds the early.

Mepunga Treasure is a strong type and I think she will get a nice sit just off the speed, last week she was narrowly beaten by the exciting Rowdy Ronda and she could be the value tonight.

Rowdy Ronda has plenty of gears and if she steps away she will take a power of beating, however she can be a bit hit or miss early and she doesn't like to be crowded in her races.

To The Galo's had his first crack at the trip last week and he set a cracking pace before getting a stitch late, he will be much better for that run and he could be the value.

Amaro Bale finally delivered on his early promise when winning here last week in 29.30 and he should continue on his winning way. He is armed with solid early speed but I think he will settle just behind the one and four early tonight and he will then assume control mid race. If he gains a clear passage throughout, he should prove too strong for his rivals.

Kiss Me Ketut is a former star chaser and he should be suited by the drop in class tonight. From the red he should be able to push through and lead and he could give a great sight on the lure.

Usain I'm Nutty probably has the biggest engine of any runner but he will need some luck from the wide draw. He has been placed in six of seven over this trip with two wins and if he gets a crack at them he will take some stopping.

Flame Bale must also be respected, she has been racing in consistent fashion and she is capable of pinging the lids at times.

Waymore Blues hasn't had much luck in recent weeks but he should get every chance to improve from the red draw. I'm not expecting him to lead but he should sit just off the pace and he will then make a strong move mid race. He is capable of running very quick sectionals and he is a different chaser when given clear running and he can find the rail.

Armed And Ready is a big talent and he returned to racing with a strong 23.88 Bendigo win. He has recently joined the powerful Ennis camp and if he is near peak fitness he should give a great sight, my only concern is that he has struggled to run the trip in his only two tries previously.

Jayney Bale has the class edge and if she was drawn outside of Armed And Ready she would have been my top pick. Four starts back she powered past the speedy Dawkins Bale when winning at The Meadows in 29.88 and a similar effort tonight will see her figure prominently.

Lektra Utopia is armed with great early speed and he looks well placed in this event. The box draw hasn't done him any favours but he generally boxes well and with a clean getaway he should have sufficient speed to blaze across and assume control. Two starts back he posted an impressive 30.06 Meadows win and a repeat of that effort would see him prove hard to run down.

Vermont is a another with early speed and he has scored two zippy Meadows wins in recent weeks and the latest effort he was able to hold off the classy Spring Leaf. He is having his first look at the track, so that is a slight concern but his early speed should allow him to put himself into contention early.

Dyna Quirk has a heap of talent and speed but he can make mistakes at box rise, however he did power to the line when scoring at The Meadows in 30.08 and he just needs some luck early to score.

Beyond Rapid has been racing in fine style at Cranbourne of late and he should have no trouble with the rise in class tonight. In his two most recent wins he has shown a great turn of speed early and he has finished his races off nicely. With a clean getaway tonight he should have enough speed to get across and he will prove hard to catch.

Mr. Fox has the good draw and he should be in the mix for a long way, he isn't overly strong but if he holds them out early he should be able to hold on for a top three finish.

Ace's And Angels is in good hands he can show explosive early speed at times, he can be a tad risky at box rise but if he comes out he will run a big race.

Dyna Shinko should round out the chances, he will get too far back early to win but he will hit the line hard and he could be a good anchor for second and third in your exotic bets.

Top Four: 7 – 2 – 1 – 3
