8BALLERINO [5]11614NBTJ Borg (Maryborough)

Brad Hill Billy is a gun Tasmanian chaser and he turned in a huge effort to capture the Launceston Cup final last month. This is obviously a great test for him at his mainland debut but he is the real deal and I think he will handle himself quite well. There is plenty of speed drawn inside in this race but both inside runners will struggle to run the trip and that should allow him to swoop over the top in the run home.

Ballerino has scored some great wins at The Meadows in his brief career and he is suited to the wide draw, he is resuming from a three month spell but he is in good hands and he should be primed for a bold first up showing.

Allkel To Excel is an explosive beginner and he will give a great sight on the , he is unbeaten in five starts to date on the provincial circuit but he is yet to be tested beyond 425m. He is going to be fairly short odds in this, so I think it might be best to anchor him for maybe second and third in your exotic bets.

Sacramento Sal has won three of her past four in town and she should sit just behind the red for most of the trip, she too appears to be a great place hope.

Ryley Sams is the interesting runner, he comes here with strong form and he appears to have a fair bit of early speed also.

Kevlarr is a former promising chaser and he was far from disgraced when placed here last week when making his debut for his new kennel. He showed a great turn of foot in that race and he reeled off very impressive sectionals before getting a little tired in the run home, there isn't a whole lot of speed in this event so he should be able to roll to the early lead again and I'm expecting him to hit the line a lot better tonight.

Assertive Bella can be very hard to follow at times but there is no doubting her talent, from the red she should be able to settle fairly close to the speed and with a clear run she should be able to regain some confidence.

Razldazl Pacino finally showed his true ability when placed here last week over 595m in good time and he is probably better back to this trip, if he can step on terms he should be able to drive through into a threatening position at the first bend.

Mepunga Treasure is better suited to a rails draw but she is racing in very consistent fashion and she can show good early speed, if they happen to shuffle up underneath her she may get across and zip away mid race.

7JIMMY MARGETTS [5]31114FSHS Shinners (Southern River)
8STOMPIN' [5]11182FSHJ Borg (Maryborough)

Left Is Right is normally a very reliable beginner and he has a great record over this track and trip. The box draw hasn't done him any favours tonight but three starts back he exploded out of the traps when posting a ridiculous 24.99 win, if he can produce something similar tonight he should get the cash.

Weblec Rose can be a little hit or miss early but she has hit in her past four starts, if she continues that stretch of form she should settle in the top two early and figure prominently, however she will be short odds and I'm willing to risk her at the short quote.

Fever Pitch continues to go from strength to strength and he beat a super talent here last time out, from the red he should be able to push through into a commanding spot early and I'm expecting him to be there at the end.

Stompin' is resuming from a spell but he showed an enormous amount of talent when last in work, if he is fully wound up he could run a big race at nice odds.

7MIDNIGHT RIDE [5]15113NBTA Bahen (Yuroke)
8NIKITA KAHN (QLD)[5]76111FSHK Johnstone (Two Wells)

Midnight Ride is armed with devastating speed and with an ounce of luck early he should get the cash. Two starts back he broke the track record at with an eye popping 27.52 run and he followed that up with a luckless effort here last week. That was his first look at the track so I'm expecting him to have derived a lot of benefit from that run, he is one of my early tips for the series.

Angie Rocks continues to impress and it's hard to ignore her two ridiculous wins at The Meadows in February, my only concern with her is that she doesn't have blinding early speed and I'm a little worried that she might get strung up in traffic at the first bend.

Come On Fantasy has been racing well in open company for quite a while now and she will be better suited back to this distance range, there isn't a lot of speed directly outside her so she should be afforded a clear passage in the early stages.

Gaucho is the only other winning prospect, he is much better than his recent form reads and I'm expecting him to show some improvement.

7WEST ON DELLY [4]2412329.38(1)J Britton (Anakie)
8RASHAD REASON (NSW)[5]38432NBTL Smith (Langwarrin)

Ivy Bale is a brilliant beginner and she looked super impressive when scoring at The Meadows two runs back in a sizzling 29.77. Tonight she has a slow beginner on her inside and that should allow her to drift across and assume control at the first bend and if she does find the lure early she will be running sub 29.30.

Usain I'm Nutty is the most talented chaser in the event but he can be a little slow to begin at times, last time out he began a lot better than normal and he posted a breathtaking 29.21 win here, I dont think he can lead tonight but I still think he can run over the top of them late in the race.

West On Delly is better than her form reads and she can show explosive early speed when given room to muster, she should follow Ivy Bale across in the early stages and if she can settle in the top two early she has the talent to cause an upset.

Bruce Tycoon has been racing well of late and he must be respected, I dont think he can win tonight but he may be able to sneak home into third spot.

10KNOW DANGER (NZ)[5]Res.11545NBTJ Shaw (Anakie)

Dzeko finally put it altogether here last week and she should be able to go back to back tonight. After beginning well she was able to push forward and settle in the top two and once she was that close she was always going to take a power of beating. From the favourable draw tonight she should be on the speed again and she should prove too strong again.

Why Not Wayne gave a great sight in his staying debut last week and if he can lead again he should run a cheeky race. His last 40m wasn't great last week but he did have a strong chaser camp on him early and he was always going to find it tough to hold on, if they bunch up behind him in the early stages tonight he may be able to steal the prize.

Shanlyn Lucy didn't have a lot of luck here last week and she should show improvement, from the red she should be able to settle just behind Why Not Wayne and after her first 715m hit out she should be able to hit the line solidly.

Macca's Sway is a must for your quaddies, he was far from disgraced in his heat placing last week and if he gets the breaks mid race he could salute at nice odds.

7OPUS FORTE (NSW)[5]28211FSHL Azzopardi (Londonderry)
8TRIPLE LINDY [5]12511FSHJ Borg (Maryborough)

This is one of the toughest heats and there appear to be a number of chances, however I'm going to go with the in form Rowdy Ronda. After showing plenty of promise she appeared to lose her way for a while but in recent weeks she has been pinging the lids and chasing extremely hard. Last week she posted an all the way win here in 29.32 and if she reproduces similar sectionals tonight she should be able to score.

Opus Forte is a serious NSW speedster and if he handles the track he will be right in the mix. He has had over five weeks off but before going for a spell he did post a breathtaking 29.41 Wentworth Park win, I dont like the box draw tonight but he is too good to overlook.

Callum's Mum is another who has had around five weeks off and she too had showed a heap of talent when last in work, two runs back she led all the way here in a blistering 29.23, she can be a little risky early but if she does happen to step she could make the favourite work hard for the early lead.

Once A Drifter and Porrentruy are both more than capable and with some luck in running they could feature.

8RIDE THE RAILS (NSW)[4]1474229.23(4)K Bravo (Lovely Banks)

Ride The Rails is a class act and he appears well drawn in the pink tonight, he has a couple of keen railers drawn directly underneath and if he can step on terms he should have the speed to carve across and assume control at the first bend. He is a super fast talent when on the lure and if he is anywhere near the lead he will take a power of beating.

Mepunga Armagh has a great record here and he is drawn to figure prominently, he has been fair to begin at his past couple but from the red I'm expecting him to step a lot better tonight. He has now had five runs since a spell and he should be at peak fitness.

Caustic Bale is a beast and if given a clear run he would be right in the finish, my only concern with him is that he can miss it away and he does rely heavily on luck in his races.

Wind Whistler is the run on type in the event and he could be a good anchor for second and third in your exotics, he has a monster finish but he might just give away too big of a head start.

7LIGHT ‘EM UP [4]1111229.71(4)J Thompson (Pearcedale)
8ASTRONOMIZE (WA)[5]11832FSHP Stuart (Nambeelup)

Another really good lineup with quite a few chances, I'm giving the edge to Kayda Shae after his devastating 29.27 win here last week. On that occasion he stepped quite well and soon after box rise he went into overdrive, he has average beginners on either side tonight so with another even getaway he should be able to show a similar display of speed and lead all the way.

Astronomize was a recent finalist in the and when fully wound up he is capable of reeling off stunning sectionals. He trialled here three weeks ago in a solid 29.62 but with a clear run tonight I'm expecting him to go a lot quicker than that.

Cuervo Shot is a former American chaser and he impressed on debut here with a solid 29.66 win, he hit the line solidly in that run and if he can hold a forward spot early tonight he should be right in the mix.

Lektra Concord could be the value in the race, he does his best racing here and he is capable of pinging the lids at times, if he happened to find the early lead he may zip away mid race and steal the prize.

Ikaku Bale has plenty of gears and from the red he should get all the breaks, four starts back he stepped well from this draw and led for most of the journey when posting an eye popping 29.60 win at The Meadows. He can hesitate at box rise on occasions but even if he does he should get a clear enough passage in the first 50m and that will enable him to balance up in a commanding position.

Vermont has the speed to lead and he should run a cheeky race, he has beaten some handy types in his recent wins at The Meadows and he should have benefited from the look at the track here last week.

Grand Intention is much better than his recent form reads and if he gets a look at them early he could blow them away, he is a very fast chaser on his night but he does like to be out in front and dictating the terms.

Mo Keeping is in great form and he must be respected, however his box manners can sometimes be risky and he will need to lead to win.

Deadly Boy hasn't experienced a lot of luck in recent weeks but he should appreciate the drop in class tonight and I can easily see him leading throughout in this event. He has fair beginners drawn around him tonight, so if he can step cleanly he should be able to drive through at the first bend and assume control. He is a different chaser when on the lure and if you can land $3.50 or better that is a nice bet.

Rumero Reason has his favourite draw and he tends to step a lot better when drawn inside, obviously I dont think he can lead but he should settle in the first four and he will be very strong in the run to the line.

Polly Bale should settle near the speed and she has won here previously in 34.11, she was a tad disappointing at Ballarat last time but I would expect her to improve here.

Jewel Bale and Money Come Back round out the chances, both aren't overly strong in the run home but they can show speed and they could sneak into some minor money.

Jayney Bale is a class act and she should prove too strong for her rivals. Five starts back she just behind the speed and she then proved too strong for the brilliant Dawkins Bale at The Meadows and posted an impressive 29.88. She normally boxes well but she lacks mid race speed, so if she can avoid bother mid race she should be in the finish.

Armed And Ready is perfectly drawn and he was solidly placed here last week and he appeared to hit the line quite well in that effort. From the pink tonight he should be able to roll to the early lead and I think Jayney Bale is the only chaser that can reel him in.

Blue Giant has plenty of talent but he can be hard to follow and he tends to struggle here, he is likely to settle well back but he is good enough to run home into second or third spot.

Smart Maxwell and Kiltah Magic must be included in your exotics, both can be hit or miss early but they are quite strong and have good place claims.

Top Four: 6 – 8 – 1 – 2
