Race 1 – 515M Grade 5 – 7:08PM

Quite an open race to kick off the night but I think the winner will come from the outside division. The consistent Lovey led until the shadows of the post here last week and with another clean getaway I think she can go one better. Her personal time of 29.91 from that effort isn't overly impressive, however tonight's event doesn't have a whole lot of depth. She has been placed in her only four tries here and on three of the four occasions she has recorded 5.10 or quicker to the first mark, a repeat of that should see her lead again.

Wind Whistler has been racing in devastating form of late having notched up a hat trick of wins here. All three wins were from off the speed and all were in impressive times. My only concern with him tonight is the wide draw, two of those three wins came from the red alley and that allowed him to settle very close to the lead. Idle Ways must also be respected in this event, he returned to form with a solid 27.29 Horsham win recently and he does possess enough early speed to be in contention at the first bend. I expect Wind Whistler to be quite short so there should be plenty of value with Lovey and Idle Ways.

Top Four: 6 – 7 – 8 – 4

Suggested Bets:

Win bets on Lovey and Idle Ways

Trifecta: 6,7,8/6,7,8/1,2,3,4,6,7,8 ($30 for 100%)

Trifecta: 6,8/7/Field ($12 for 100%)

Trifecta: 6,8/Field/7 ($12 for 100%)

Race 2 – 515M Grade 5 – 7:25PM

This race appears to have a lot more depth than the first and there are a number of winning chances. I've gone with the well drawn Fratelli Fresh. Two starts ago she stepped cleanly from this draw and led all the way in a more than handy 29.75. On that occasion she appeared to hit the line quite solidly and she looked very impressive. There are obviously a few runners in this that can go quicker than 29.75, but she will be doing it on the bunny and she will prove hard to reel in.

Obviously Hostile must be considered, however he is expected to start at odds on and he is too unreliable to be taking the short odds. Off the red at The Meadows he showed his true ability with a dazzling 29.94 win and if he finds the bunny tonight, I'm sure he will run the hands off the clock again but from the middle pin he will need all the breaks. Mitch Sparrabush must be kept quite safe in this affair, he is drawn to get a nice sit behind expected leader Fratelli Fresh and he has been racing in good style on the provincial circuit. Peter Pettigrew could be a nice place bet at odds and he must not be left out of your exotic bets.

Top Four: 1 – 2 – 5 – 6

Suggested Bets:

Win bets on Fratelli Fresh and Mitch Sparrabush or place bet on Peter Pettigrew. Be sure to place your bet on Fratelli Fresh at Centrebet to receive a massive 25% bonus up to $200 if he gets the chocolates.

Boxed quinella: 1,2,5,6 ($6 for 100)

Trifecta: 1,2,5,6/1,2,5,6/1,2,4,5,6,7 ($48 for 100%)

Race 3 – 515M Mixed 4/5 – 7:44PM

Should be another very competitive race but it is hard to ignore Dyna Yenite after last week's top placing here. After a clean getaway he showed a dazzling turn of foot and hit the first marker in a 4.99, but unfortunately for the powerful Great Spartacus was too close off the back straight and he was nabbed in the shadows of the post. If he can get away like he did last week and reel off similar sectionals, his opposition will have a tough time reeling him in.

Premier Event has a top record over this trip and he has been racing without much luck of late, from the wide draw tonight he should be afforded a clearer run in the first 50m and he should be able to regain some much needed confidence. He is likely to be over the odds and he is worth a saver bet as he can prove hard to catch if he pings the lids. Mystic Twist is showing enormous potential and she hasn't experienced much good fortune since scoring here in 29.63 last month. Tonight she is drawn to get a clearer run initially and she can feature if she gets through the first bend unscathed.

Top Four: 2 – 8 – 3 – 1

Suggested Bets:

Exacta: 2,8/1,2,3,8 ($6 for 100%)

Trifecta: 2/1,3,8/Field ($18 for 100%0

Trifecta: 2,8/2,8/Field ($12 for 100%)

Race 4 – 595M McKenna Memorial Heat One – 8:08PM

Gun middle distance chaser Bookkeeper makes his long awaited return to the track but I think he may have his work cut out for him. The trained Cosmic Wise has been racing in scintillating form of late and most importantly she has been getting away cleanly in her races. She is the type of chaser who likes room to move in the early stages and from the pink box she should be afforded that luxury. Two starts ago she beat a smart field when scoring in 34.17 here and a repeat of that should see her get the cash.

Bookkeeper clearly has the class edge and if he is 100% he will make his presence felt. His record of four wins from ten tries here with a 34.04 PB is hard to ignore but you never know what to expect when chasers are resuming from lengthy spells. Ever Alert has excelled since stepping up in distance and although poorly drawn tonight I would expect him to be thereabouts. Last week he roared to the line and stopped the clock in a brilliant 34.24 and that makes him a major player in this. Sandown Cup runner up Tarks Nemesis must also be kept safe, she is drawn poorly out in seven but she is too good to totally dismiss and must be included in your exotics.

Top Four: 8 – 2 – 4 – 7

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Cosmic Wise

Trifecta: 8/2,4,7/Field ($18 for 100%)

Trifecta: 2,8/2,8/Field ($12 for 100%)

Quinella: 8 to rove with 2,4,7 ($3 for 100%)

Race 5 – 595M McKenna Memorial Heat Two – 8:28PM

Prue Bale has been mighty disappointing in recent starts but I'm willing to give her one more chance. Last start at she had pressure applied to her from the outset and it all became too much mid race and she was squeezed out. Tonight's event doesn't feature a whole lot of early speed and that should allow her to ping to the lead and get out into some open space. When on the bunny and under no pressure she is capable of reeling off ridiculous sectionals, I think she can return to her best here.

Great Spartacus returned to the winners list with a strong 29.59 win here last week and he has given every indication that the step up in journey won't be a problem. He does like to use a little bit of the track but he has a slow beginner drawn directly outside so he should be afforded some room at the first bend. Sisco Rage is the interesting runner, he has recently joined the McDonald camp and two runs ago he was enormous when placed at . He has won here previously in 34.40 and I think he can go a lot faster than that now, the only problem is that he will need a whole lot of luck after boxrise as there might be a lot of crunching through the bend start.

Top Four: 4 – 1 – 3 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Prue Bale and maybe on Sisco Rage if he is $4.50 or better

Boxed Quinella: 1,3,4 ($3 for 100%)

Trifecta: 1,3,4/1,3,4/1,2,3,4,5,7 ($24 for 100%)

Race 6 – 595M McKenna Memorial Heat Three – 8:52PM

This heat looks to be an intriguing affair as we get to see gun NSW sprinter My Boy Snoopy make his middle distance debut. Prior to his three placings at The Meadows and Sandown, he had won four of five at Wentworth Park and Bulli, with all of those wins being in blistering times. He can be a little tardy at box rise but he will show a devastating turn of foot once into stride. Obviously because of his brilliance, he is a little doubt to run the trip but from the red draw I think he can poke through and lead and he should have enough in the tank to get to the line.

Hawk Alone is clearly the main danger, he has won over 300k in prize money and he returned to his best form with a brilliant 30.04 Meadows win recently. Box three isn't ideal but he should have enough speed to drive through at the first bend. Surf Mail is another who is back in form and he has won four of six over this journey. He is likely to be well in the market but I think he may be unders from the awkward draw.

Top Four: 1 – 3 – 6 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on My Boy Snoop at Centrebet with the 25% red box bonus. Great value.

Trifecta: 1,3,6/1,2,3,6/1,2,3,4,6,7 ($36 for 100%)

Trifecta: 1,3/1,3/Field ($12 for 100%)

Race 7 – 595M McKenna Memorial Heat Four – 9:11PM

My Bro Fabio was desperately unlucky here last week and with an ounce of luck this week he should go one better. He has scored some ridiculously fast wins over the shorter trips in his career and his racing style indicates he will be even better over this journey. From the middle pin you should be able to get around the $3.00 mark and for a chaser of his ability that is a great price.

Go Mobo has been racing in super form of late and he just continues to get away cleanly and figure prominently in his races. Last week he beat My Bro Fabio but I think this week he might have a little more pressure applied to him early and he may be found wanting in the last 50m. Musquin Bale is always a chance in these type of events and to give you a little more confidence he returned to his best at The Meadows last week over 600m with a 34.61 win.

Top Four: 5 – 1 – 6 – 8

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on My Bro Fabio. Also something small on the red runner. With the added 25% bonus at Centrebet he will be value.

Exacta: 5/1,6 ($2 for 100%)

Trifecta: 5/1,6,8/Field ($18 for 100%)

Race 8 – 595M McKenna Memorial Heat Five – 9:35PM

Superstar chaser Xylia Allen returns from a successful QLD trip and at the $1.20 she should get the cash. She has won five on the trot and she has won here previously in a near record 33.79. She has had a couple weeks off since her last start so she should be primed to show her best. At the short quote is worthwhile just anchoring her up front in trifecta's and first fours.

Gimme Fuel is drawn to hold the lead for the first few metres of the race and his 600m Meadows win in May suggests he should be good enough to hold on for second place. Cornelius Fudge has a top record at this venue and he is never far away in this class. Four starts ago he powered to the line when scoring here in 34.47 and he is a great place bet.

Top Four: 8 – 1 – 4 – 5

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 8/1,4,5/1,4,5 ($6 for 100%)

Trifecta: 8/1,4,5/1,2,4,5 ($9 for 100%)

First Four: 8/1,4,5/1,2,4,5/1,2,3,4,5 ($27 for 100%)

Race 9 – 595M McKenna Memorial Heat Six – 9:55PM

The final heat is packed full of talent and there appear to be a number of chances. Dyna Kayla appears to be back to her best and she should be good value in this event. She is drawn poorly in six so she should go around at the $3.50 mark or better. In her last two starts she has got away nicely and showed a lot more early dash than normal. Back up to the middle distance tonight she should find herself in the first two early and she will prove too strong for her rivals.

Dream It was a tad disappointing here last week over this trip but I think he will be better for the run. It was his first try over the 595m journey and after some bother early he appeared to look a little flat at the end of the race. He should be able to settle much closer to the speed tonight and he will make his presence felt. Allen Eryk is a gun and he is never far away, whilst Bekim is absolutely flying at present. Lobby Lu is going to be well fancied, but I think she is a lay tonight because she is better suited to a wider draw.

Top Four: 6 – 4 – 3 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Dyna Kayla

Trifecta: 4,6/2,3,4,6/2,3,4,5,6 ($18 for 100%)

Race 10 – 515M Mixed 3/4 – 10:12PM

Hard to go past the odds on favourite here in Mepunga Armagh. From the red draw he should be able to fire through to the early lead and if he reproduces the run which saw him win here in 29.37 in May, he will prove far too classy for this line up. He has been a little disappointing in his last couple but I think he can regain some confidence from tonight's good draw.

Zipping Brock has been racing in solid form of late and with the abundance of speed drawn underneath him, he should be able to find the rails early on. He is very fast on his night and at the $12 mark or better he is worth a saver bet. Rumbling Rick is going to be well fancied based on his 29.52 win here a fortnight ago and he is obviously a great chance tonight, but I think he will have trouble leading so place claims appear best.

Top Four: 1 – 4 – 3 – 7

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 1/3,4,7/3,4,7 ($6 for 100%)

Trifecta: 1/3,4,7/Field ($18 for 100%)

Race 11 – 515M Grade 5 – 10:32PM

Tough race but I think the well drawn Tee Brady might be able to get the job done. He has been racing consistently on the provincial circuit of late and he has won here previously in a slick 29.64. He is armed with very good early speed and with a clean getaway he should have no trouble getting across. It's worth noting that three of his past four wins have come from this draw.

Dello Bale is going to probably start favourite but his tendency to bomb the start is a concern for me. He has won six of 13 over this trip and if he can get through the first bend unscathed he should make an impact. Mechatronic could be the surprise packet in the event. He has a wide runner drawn directly outside tonight and with a clear run initially he may be able to run a cheeky race at odds.

Top Four: 8 – 2 – 4 – 1

Suggested Bets:

Win bets on Tee Brady and Mechatronic

Boxed Quinella: 1,2,4,8 ($6 for 100%)

Race 12 – 515M Grade 5 – 10:52PM

Beckenbauer has been racing in great fashion of late and he looks perfectly placed in this event. Two starts ago he showed a great turn of foot soon after boxrise before going on to score a smart 30.26 Meadows win. Tonight he should have no trouble crossing in the early stages and he should be running around the 29.50 mark on the bunny.

Cosmea is well drawn out wide and she has been thereabouts of late. Normally a reliable beginner, she should find herself in the first three at the first bend and she has proven in the past that she can run a very strong 500m. Dynamic Punch is going to be fairly well supported and if he gain an ounce of luck early he should be in the mix also. He is capable of running very but his poor box manners have proven to be a big problem of late.

Top Four: 3 – 7 – 1 – 4

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Beckenbauer

Trifecta: 3/1,4,7/Field ($18 for 100%)

Quinella: 3 to rove with 1,4,7 ($3 for 100%)

Quaddie

Leg 1: 1,3,4
Leg 2: 1,3
Leg 3: 1,5,6
Leg 4: 8

($18 for 100%)
