Tough race to open the night and I've decided to go with the likely leader Mystic Twist. She has had two runs over the staying journey to date at The Meadows and both times she appeared to struggle a little in the run home, however you could see in her second effort that she is benefiting from every run. Tonight she returns to her favourite track and I think if she can find the early lead she should be able to build up a nice lead mid race.

Heaps Of Ability is the interesting runner, he is clearly the most gifted chaser in the event but he likes to scout wide and he can do a lot of things wrong. He has a breathtaking 41.69 PB here and if he runs anywhere near that he will prove very hard to hold out. Bailey Rose has been placed in four of six over this journey and she should be in the mix again. She has the ability to lead or come from off the speed so if she can get away with them she should be able to settle in a prominent position. Julie Bale is making her staying debut and being out of former champion stayer Amity Bale, you would think that she could get the journey.

Mepunga Mia has pinged the lids in two of her three starts to date and if she pings away again its hard to see her being beaten. In the first round of heats she posted a 5.01 to the first marker but she then followed that up a week later with a ridiculous 4.96. Based on those sections she has at least two lengths on her nearest rival to the first bend and her run home times haven't been too shabby either.

Special Supreme is an improving type and he has hit the line solidly in both heat wins, he is likely to settle mid field tonight and he should look to make a stronger move as they pass the back straight. Grand Intention is a member of the powerful Ennis Kennel and he has scored two impressive heat wins from inside and outside draws. If he can get away cleanly he should settle near the pace and he can probably get down to the 29.60ish mark. West On Delly is the query runner, she has been a tad disappointing in her two Victorian runs but she has scored some sizzling trial wins prior to coming over.

Cheeky Hand flew early in her brilliant 29.59 win here last week and a similar effort tonight will see her win again. She is normally a very reliable beginner and she is armed with tremendous speed soon after box rise. There is a little bit of speed drawn in the middle but she does have the speed to cross and I reckon she can carve them up as they head into the first turn.

Agility is aiming for four in a row and he is one of the stronger chasers in the event. He normally doesn't show a great deal of early speed but he has two very slow beginners drawn on his outside so he should be afforded a clear run in the initial stages. Sisco Good has the right draw and after a few luckless runs he showed a return to form at Horsham when placed in good time. Turbine is much better than his recent form reads and he is suitably drawn out wide. He has been missing the kick of late but he can show speed at times and he may be the value in the event.

Crackerjack Dak is ideally drawn in the red and he has won four of five over this journey. After a string of unlucky performances he returned to form at The Meadows on Saturday when he pinged the lids and was never headed in a solid 30.14. On that occasion he got a little crowded as he powered to the lead so don't take too much notice of the time. There are clearly a few chasers in this event which have him covered talent wise but this bloke is reliable early and he will take some catching whilst running 29.40 on the bunny.

Xtreme Knocka is a gifted sprinter and his effort to score at Wentworth Park in 29.56 two runs back was eye catching. His box manners aren't great but he does muster speed quickly and he loves to rail. I'm anticipating that he will find a little bother early but he should be able to rail through into about third and fourth as they head for the back straight. Wind Whistler has won five of 11 here and he will be steaming home late, his recent form doesn't look flashy but he returns to his favourite track and trip so I'm expecting him to show improvement. Oscura rounds out the chances, he is a super talent but he does make a lot of mistakes in his races, if he somehow gets across he is likely to feature.

Dyna Villa is unbeaten in five tries here and his effort here two runs back to score in 29.72 was massive. He is normally a much better chaser on the bunny but on that occasion he was posted wide and he had to settle midfield, however he went into overdrive off the back straight and powered to the line for a commanding victory. Tonight I would expect him to sit outside Access in the early stages and he should assume control as they turn for home.

Campaspe Will is a super unit and although he is better suited to a wider draw I still think he can be highly competitive tonight. Four starts ago he overcome numerous difficulties in running to score here in 29.45 and a similar time tonight would be enough to win. Access led for a long way here last week and he should set the pace again. His last 40m is always a worry but he has had three hit outs over this journey since resuming from a spell so he should be at peak fitness now. Hawk Alone must also be respected in this event, he is resuming from a short spell but he is never far away and he always races well from wide draws

Good line up in the shoot out and I've gone with one of the fastest in the land as well as probably the hardest chaser in the land, Allen Deed. He recently captured the Group One final and a week after he trialled at the Meadows and reeled off a blistering 29.63. He is well drawn out wide and I can see him settling in second or third spot, he's extremely powerful and he should prove too strong.

Banjo Boy is well drawn in the red and he looks the likely leader. He is aiming for a hat trick of wins and he has recorded an eye popping 29.01 here in the past. If he can hold them out he should give a great sight. Iva Vision is an up and coming star but I think this might be a little beyond him at this point, he is going to be giving some star chasers a start and he may find the going tough. Not keen on Awesome Project at all, he is poorly drawn and I just think the one and the seven are simply faster.

Star Recall has been airborne back in her home state of WA and she has just joined the powerful Jeff Britton camp for a tilt at the up coming Melbourne Cup. She is normally a brilliant beginner and her first two sectionals are ridiculous, however in recent times she has even been finding the line a lot stronger and that he helped her break the 30 second barrier at Cannington on two occasions. If she handles the track at her first look she should lead throughout.

Hostile is a freak but he can be hard to follow at times. I would prefer he started from a rails draw but he was far from disgraced when placed in near record time at Cranbourne last time from a wide draw. If he can avoid bother in the first 50m then he becomes a serious contender. Cornelius Fudge loves racing here and he will be steaming home late, I dont think he is a winning prospect but he is a must for the exotics and a great dog to anchor for third and fourth in your exotics. Allen Eryk is still a little way from his best but from the red he may be able to sight the bunny a little earlier in the race he can show some improvement.

Chica Destacada didn't have much luck in the recent final but she should be able to make amends tonight. She is hit or miss early but she tends to ping more often than she misses away, she recently captured the Championship final and prior to that she posted back to back Wentworth Park wins in 29.60. There isn't much speed underneath her so with a clean getaway she should find the bunny and prove too zippy.

Crusade Marjen isn't the most consistent chaser but when he is on song he is capable of matching it with the best of them. He tends to take a few strides to hit top gear but once he gets into some open spaces he should be able to put himself into the race. He does have a blistering 29.28 PB so with a clear run he should feature. Dyna Orion is the run on dog in the event, he should bake in the field on the rails but he will scrape the paint throughout and he should be able to pick a few of them off late in the race. Cawbourne Whip is the interesting runner, she is a star Sydneysider and if she happens to settle near the pace she can run a monster race.

Secret Spell appears to be the real deal and its hard to ignore her last start victory at Cranbourne where she destroyed a classy lineup in 29.71. In her brief career to date she has raced well from wide draws and she is capable of showing blistering early speed. She is having her first race start here but she is in good hands and I'm sure she would have had a look at the track in a trial.

All Strung Out is the ultimate professional and he has amazing track sense. He doesn't have great early speed but he does hit his stride after about 30m and from the red he should be able to settle in the first half of the field. Cosmic Angel set the track alight at Wentworth Park three runs back when posting a scorching 29.62 win and if he can begin like he did that night he will prove very hard to hold out. Veyron Bale could be the surprise packet in the event, his form doesn't read all that well but he has proven in the past he is capable of absolutely anything and if he happens to step away he should run a very cheeky race.

Great race and appears to be very open but I've gone with the exciting Azza Azza Azza. Last week he stepped well and showed his customary blinding turn of foot before stopping the clock in a sizzling 29.37. That was only his second try over this trip and I think he will continue to improve with more racing over this journey. There is a little bit of speed drawn underneath him tonight but if he steps on terms he has more than enough natural speed to cross.

Dyna Yemen is a class act and he will be a major player in feature races in the upcoming months. Four starts ago he posted a commanding 29.87 Meadows win and his effort here last week behind Awesome Project was super impressive. His box manners still let him down a bit but if he can settle just behind the speed he should be there at the end. Elite Devil has the good draw and he was a smart 29.97 Meadows winner last time out, from the red he should be able to hold a spot on the top two early and he is much stronger in the run to the line these days. Gorham Bale is a strong type and he tends to race well here, he must be included in your exotics bets.

Beckenbauer has found a leg of late and he should continue on his winning way. Last time out he showed a great turn of foot soon after box rise and he never looked in doubt when scoring at Shepparton in 25.27. He has won here in the past and with the speedy Summer Wages drawn underneath he should be able to get a lovely cart across as they head into the first bend. The last 40m has always been a worry for him over this trip but he seems to be a lot stronger at the end of his races these days.

Cosmic Wise has a great record here and she can ping the lids at times but she also is good enough to win when coming from off the speed. With a slow beginner on her outside she should be afforded a clear run early and that should allow her to feature. Jewel Action comes her with very strong NSW form and if she handles the track she should run a bottler, her sectionals at Wentworth Park indicate that she would be good enough to cross here and she has proven to be a very hard chaser to run down when on the . Jewel Bale is a money muncher and she shouldn't win tonight but she is very strong in the run to the line so she must be included in your exotic bets.

Good race to finish off the night and I think the speedy Lamia Bale can lead throughout. She has been racing well here in recent weeks without winning and she really gets her chance. Four starts ago she led for most of the trip when narrowly beaten by Banjo Boy in sizzling time and she produced a similar effort here last week. If she can get away cleanly she should give a great sight at nice odds.

Nockabout Aussie is a gifted chaser but he can be a little hard to follow at times. He is likely to settle back in the field but he does have a 29.37 PB here and if the gaps open at the right time he will be there to make an impact. Dream It led for a long way when placed behind here two runs back and with a good getaway again tonight he should be in the mix for most of the journey, I dont like the box draw but he is too good to dismiss. Texas Titan rounds out the genuine winning chances, he will settle mid field but he is very strong in the run home and he has a great record here.

Top Four: 4 – 7 – 8 – 3
