Zipping Rory is a class act when on song and although he is giving the outside three a metre head start, he should still prove too strong. Three starts back he destroyed a quality lineup at when winning in 42.08 and if he can produce a similar effort tonight he will prove hard to hold out. It's worth forgiving his two efforts at , he never looked comfortable in running and just couldn't handle the track.

Roethlisberger has been racing in great form and he scored a strong 42.83 win here last week and off the front mark he should be a major player again. Early in his career he was a terrible beginner but in recent times he has been jumping a lot better and therefore putting himself into contention early in his races, with a good getaway tonight he should be in a prominent position throughout. Starc has a solid record here and he didn't have much luck last time out, there isn't much speed around him tonight so he should be able to make light work of his handicap. Big Kat is another who races well here and she should be in the mix for a long way, she doesn't win very often here but she loves to run a place.

Ikaku Bale is another one of Wheelers exciting youngsters and he looks well placed in this event. Four starts back he broke his maiden here with a slick 30.01 victory, since then he has taken on some gun youngsters in the Silver Chief series. With slow beginners drawn all around him tonight he should get plenty of room to drive through early and if he can settle in the top two he should get the cash.

Dyna Tiber is a litter brother to sprint star Dyna Double One and he too has more than enough talent. He has won his past two here in 30.14 and 30.20 respectively and if he runs a 5.09 section like he did last time he should give Ikaku Bale something to catch.

Zelemar Zest is the only other winning hope, he scored a commanding 23.50 Horsham win last time out and he continues to improve with more racing. He isn't overly strong but if he finds the bunny early he could give the two favourites something to think about.

Altona Girl has a heap of talent but she doesn't always show it, she could be a good prospect to anchor for third and fourth in your exotic bets.

Dyna Vikkers is a reserve for the Silver Chief Final and he appears to have panels on his rivals here. Since winning his maiden here in 30.44 when on debut in December, he has posted three top placings all against class youngsters. His box manners aren't great and that is a small concern but talent wise he has at least seven to eight lengths on his nearest rival.

Pretty Bale is racing in consistent style and she looks the likely quinella prospect, she isn't blessed with dazzling early speed but she is quite strong and if she gets through the first turn unscathed she should be in the finish.

Cincinnati Lee has won here previously in 30.54 and she showed a return to form with a solid 390m Shepparton placing, if she can get away cleanly she has the talent to cause an upset.

Stetson Quamby has the good draw and he could sneak into a place, he doesn't win very often but from the draw he should be able to settle a little closer than normal. It's worth noting that if the reserve gets a run he is a monster chance, he was a brilliant 30 flat winner here during the week and he continues to get better with every run.

Ride The Rails is an enormous talent and he should be suited by the step up in distance. He likes to scout wide in his races and three starts back he won a heat of the Hobart Thousand in a slick 26.05. If he is given room to show his customary speed, he should be able to drive through to the early lead and that should allow him to build up a monster lead mid race. The last 30m might be a little concern but he is all class and he won't find an easier assignment over this journey.

Ulla Allen can bomb the start at times but she has turned in some big performances of late and like Ride The Rails, she should be suited to this journey. From the rails draw she should be able to settle in the top four and I'm convinced that she will run a strong 600m.

Smiley Sam has been racing in tremendous form and she should be in the top two for a long way, this is her first try over this distance range but I dont think it's beyond her.

Why Not Wayne rounds out the chances, he has the good draw and he has raced well here in the past.

9FERNANDO BALE (NSW)[5]Res.45130.41(5)A Dailly (Anakie)

Tough race but I think we can find some value with the classy Zell Bale. Tonight he has a keen railer drawn underneath and a slow beginner drawn on his outside, if he can step cleanly he should be able to settle in the top three and he will be very strong in the run to the line. He has won two of 11 here and he does hold an impressive 29.99 PB.

Veyron Bale is an enormous talent but he can be hard to follow at times. Two starts back he turned in a monster performance when placed behind Ultima Bale in a heat of the and if he can show similar form tonight he won't be far away. He isn't very reliable but if he goes around at silly odds he is worth an each way ticket.

Athos has the good draw and he can show smart early speed in his races, he has won three of 11 here and he should appreciate the drop in class.

Duomo Bale is a highly promising chaser and if he can avoid early bother he is a major player, the middle pin is a big concern but he can show pace and if given room he will play a part.

8HUMPHREY BALE (NSW)[3]1223629.94(6)A Dailly (Anakie)

Really good race with three gun chasers set to do battle. Allen Deed is all class and he is surprisingly well drawn in the middle. He has won five of 12 over this journey and if he gets anywhere near his blinding 29.63 PB he will take a power of beating. He is dropping back from the 650m journey but he did show good early zip in those 650m races so a similar display of speed tonight will see him settle in the first half of the field tonight.

I am a massive fan of Dyna Yemen and if he happens to get away tonight he will run a monster race. He has been a tad disappointing of late but last time out he showed a bit of form when placed behind Above All. If he can avoid Dyna Alchemist in the early stages he should be there at the end.

Musquin Bale continues to race well and he is drawn to feature again. Last time out he led all the way here in 29.97 and if he holds them out early he will give them something to catch.

Dyna Alchemist rounds out the chances, I dont think he can win tonight but if he finds the rail early he can definitely take home some of the minor money.

8WHERE'S THE SURF [5]34334FSTDD Mcdonald (Devon Meadows)

Very open race but I think the highly talented Jamiela Twist can return to the winners list. In recent weeks she has been taking on some gun youngsters over unsuitable journeys and with the step up to 600m tonight she should be able to assume control soon after the start and that will allow her to regain some confidence. She has three of 13 to date and those three wins have all been in slick times when she has found the bunny early in her races.

Lagoon Mytye is a classy NSW visitor and he comes here after scoring two brilliant 618m wins. He has raced here over the sprint and staying journeys previously so he shouldn't have too much trouble handling the track.

Rumero Reason is a lot better than his form suggests and if he can settle in the first half of the field he is capable of causing an upset. He has won three of 10 over this journey and he has turned in some very strong and impressive performances in recent weeks.

Where's The Surf rounds out the chances, he is making his middle distance debut and if he can cross he has serious claims, I'm a little concerned about the speed drawn underneath him so he will need to be nice odds for me to be on.

Great lineup of youngsters and I think the proven performer Dyna Villa can get the job done. He is the reigning Melbourne Cup champion and from the red draw he should be able to punch through and hold them out in the run to the first turn. In recent weeks he has scored two devastating heat wins and its hard to see him being run down when running around the 29.70 mark on the bunny.

Above All is an enormous talent and his effort to score here last week was huge, his box manners are a big concern and he is going to need a few things to go right early but if he gets the breaks he will be right there at the end.

Dyna Double One is possibly one of the fastest chasers we have seen and if Dyna Quirk leaves him alone in the first 50m he will take a power of beating. I am a little concerned about the box draw and that is why I have him third in the tips.

Emrys is the run on type in the event and he has been racing well in recent weeks, I dont think he can win but he may be able to run home into some minor money.

8BLONDE OASIS [5]3613234.49(1)P Dapiran (Northwood)

Waymore's Blues has been flying over the sprint trip of late and he gives every indication that this journey will suit. He normally settles back in the field but over this trip I'm expecting him to settle in the top two early and he should be able to build up a nice break mid race.

Half Way There was a 29.28 Sale winner two runs back and he should be in the mix for most of the journey, he has been placed in two of four over this trip but I'm still not convinced he is a genuine 600m chaser.

Lillycette is a gun Tassie chaser and she was far from disgraced when placed here last week, she normally steps well so if she can hold out the two favourites she may give them something to catch.

Dyna Orion is struggling at present but he has great place claims, whilst Blonde Oasis can be hard to follow at times but she does have her favourite draw.

Tough race but I think the highly promising Quarrel Bale can get the job done. He hasn't had much luck in recent weeks but he has won here in 30.21 previously and if given a clear run he is more than capable of going well under the 30 second barrier.

Mechatronic is flying again and if he pings the lids he should figure prominently throughout, he has won three of ten here and he does have a smart 30 flat PB but I am a little concerned with the speedy Dyna Fancy drawn on his outside.

King Surfa should hold them out and he will lead for a long way, his last 50m is always a worry but if he gets away mid race he may just steal the prize.

Thunderlips is aiming for a hat trick of wins and from the red he should get every chance to lead throughout. He isn't overly strong but he has hit the line solidly in his two recent Sale wins and the 525m journey here isn't a real gut buster.

Allen Icarus is super consistent and he shouldn't be too far away, he has been placed in 10 of 17 here overall and he has enough speed to settle in the top three early.

Mumma Hook should get a nice cart across in the early stages and she is much better than her recent form reads, she could be the value bet in the event.

Lektra Outlaw should be suited by the wide draw and he has raced well here in the past, he has a slow beginner directly underneath so he should get all the breaks.

Droop's Bentley is a star in the making and he should make light work of this lineup. Last time out he didn't have much luck when placed behind the talented Smoken Jimmy and with an ounce of luck early tonight he should be able to go one better.

Reiko Bale has been racing in consistent and strong fashion recently and she should follow the favourite across in the first 50m, I dont think she can reel in Droopy's Bentley but she should hang on for the quinella spot.

Se's High Above will be steaming home late and she is a must for your exotic bets.

Rashad Reason has the speed to lead and he has been placed in four of his past five starts.

Top Four: 3 – 4 – 8 – 5
