Race 1 – 525M Grade 5 Final – 7:18PM

Hostile has been a little costly of late but it is hard to ignore his recent 29.59 win, which was a run. On that occasion he pinged the lids and was in control for the entire trip and from the red draw tonight he should step cleanly and his natural speed will see him hold the early lead. You will probably be asked to take even money but that looks to be a good price in this company.

My Girl Honey has shown tremendous improvement in her past two runs, with her latest effort being a slick 30.03 win. The most impressive part of that effort was the manner in which she hit the line. Manbo Man has been placed in two of his three tries over this trip and he will hit the line solidly, so he is a must for your exotic bets.

Top Four: 1 – 6 – 3 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Hostile if you can find even money

Trifecta: 1/2,3,6/Field ($18 for 100%)

Exacta: 1/2,3,6 ($3 for 100%)

Race 2 – 525M Grade 5 – 7:37PM

Dewana Hitman is making his metropolitan debut and with an ounce of luck he should get the cash. The only little concern with him is his box manners. In his eight starts to date, the only time he has stepped cleanly was on debut when he won at Warragul in a 22.56. Since then he has missed the kick, tonight there is a fair bit of speed drawn around him and he can't afford to make too many mistakes, however he is an exciting pup and I think he has enough ability to overcome a few difficulties in running.

Archibald Prize has been racing in consistent style of late and he has speed to burn. Most of his racing has been done over the 400m trip and I would expect him to settle in the top two, obviously the last 60m or so is going to be a worry but if he crosses and there is some shuffling behind, he may just steal the prize. Wilson's Dream is the interesting runner. He made his Victorian debut at Bendigo in late May and he was far from disgraced when finishing third. Prior to that he had been racing in strong company in NSW and his form suggests that he will be hitting the line quite solidly.

Top Four: 7 – 8 – 4 – 3

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 4,7,8/3,4,7,8/2,3,4,6,7,8 ($36 for 100%)

Boxed quinella: 3,4,7,8 ($6 for 100%)

Race 3 – 600M Grade 5 – 8:00PM

Lead Into Demise is armed with early speed and he returns to the track and trip where he has had most of his success. In three tries here has won twice and placed on the other occasion. Tonight he meets a fairly weak line up and he should get every chance to lead throughout.

Noble Haste is drawn to settle near the speed and he recently scored here in a handy 34.89. He can be a little unreliable early but from the red he should be able to drive through in the early stages. Zipping Casper has been racing in much stronger company of late and three runs ago he scored an impressive 30.01 Geelong win. Like most of the runners in this event, his box manners are a big concern and from box six tonight he must do everything right in the early stages.

Top Four: 2 – 1 – 6 – 4

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 2/1,4,6/Field ($18 for 100%)

Trifecta: 1,2,6/1,2,4,6/1,2,3,4,6,7 ($36 for 100%)

Boxed quinella: 1,2,4,6 ($6 for 100%)

Race 4 – 525M Special Event Final – 8:20PM

Beckenbauer finally put it altogether at Bendigo last time and I think he should go back to back tonight. In recent times he had been bombing the start and having to work through the field. Last start he stepped cleanly and found the lead very early and he was able to show his true ability with a slick 28.03 Bendigo win.

Oscar Keeping is probably the best greyhound in the race but he will miss the kick and find himself back in the field early. He has won here in 29.96 previously, so if he gets a clear shot at them he will figure prominently. Claretown Westy look to be the only other winning prospect. The rails draw is a big plus and he is capable of running slick times on the bunny.

Top Four: 4 – 3 – 1 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Beckenbauer

Trifecta: 1,3,4/1,3,4/1,2,3,4,7 ($18 for 100%)

Race 5 – 525M Mixed 4/5 – 8:37PM

In a wide open affair I've decided to settle on the likely leader Elite Devil. He has a solid record here having been placed in four of five with two of those being convincing wins. Last week he posted a smart 5.09 to the first marker and he showed an improved run home time to stop the clock in a handy 30.17. A repeat of that will be enough for him to score again.

Yodeller looms as the obvious danger, he has won five of his past seven in smart style with the latest being at in a classy 29.61. He should be able to follow Elite Devil across in the early stages and he will fight out the finish. Amadeus Strikes has experienced little luck in her past two appearances but before that she had been flying. She is a little hit or miss at box rise but if she steps on term she will run a bottler.

Top Four: 5 – 6 – 4 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Elite Devil

Trifecta: 5,6/5,6/Field ($12 for 100%)

Race 6 – 600M Mixed 4/5 – 8:57PM

Go Mobo has been racing in consistent fashion of late and he is drawn to figure prominently again. After two impressive metro wins he recorded a brilliant 595m Sandown Park placing last start. There isn't a whole lot of early speed in this event so he should have no trouble crossing in the early stages.

Easton Bale looms as the obvious quinella option, he races well over this journey and he is drawn to settle in the first two. His last 50m can sometimes be questionable but this isn't an overly strong field so he should have enough in the tank to find the line. Good Odds Punk and Mepunga Tiara are the only two other winning hopes in my opinion. Both have a lot of talent but the box draw will create a few problems for both of them tonight.

Top Four: 8 – 1 – 5 – 3

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 1,8/1,8/Field ($12 for 100%)

Trifecta: 8/1,3,5/Field ($18 for 100%)

Race 7 – 525M Grade 5 – 9:20PM

Mepunga Hayley is finally showing her real talent and it's hard to see her being beaten considering how well she has been jumping in recent times. She has won four in a row at Sandown Park and they have all been in brilliant fashion showing both her sizzling speed and strength. With slow beginners drawn either side she should get every chance to continue on her winning way.

Calm Model is making her debut for new trainer and she would be a major player if she can find her best NSW form. She too has the luxury of slow beginners drawn around her so I would expect her and Mepunga Hayley to be matching motors for most of the trip. Liara Allen and Tweak should be included in your exotic bets. Both are well drawn near the rails and they are both strong in the run home.

Top Four: 2 – 4 – 1 – 3

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 2,4/2,4/Field ($12 for 100%)

Trifecta: 2/1,3,4/1,3,4 ($6 for 100%)

Trifecta: 2/1,3,4/Field ($18 for 100%)

Race 8 – 525M Free For All – 9:40PM

Kiss Me Ketut let us down last week but I'm willing to give him one more chance. He does his best racing here and he is normally a reliable beginner. He has been sparingly raced in recent months but I'm sure David Burnett will have him ready to fire second up from a short spell. There is a fair bit of depth in this event so we should see $8.00 or better, which is great value for a chaser of his quality.

Dream It hit the line strongly here last week when scoring in 30.11, the most impressive part of that win was the fact that he was able to reel in Buckle Up Mason. He has won four of seven here and from the red draw he should get a nice sit in the early stages. Hawk Alone returned to form with a 30.04 win here last week and he is another who excels at this track. Buckle Up Mason rounds out the winning chances. He was surprisingly run down here last week, but if he finds the bunny tonight I would expect him to hit the line a little stronger.

Top Four: 2 – 1 – 3 – 6

Suggested Bets:

Each Way Kiss Me Ketut

Boxed Quinella: 1,2,3,6 ($6 for 100%)

Exacta: 1,2/1,2,3,6 ($6 for 100%)

Race 9 – 600M Grade 5 Final – 10:05PM

Untraceable has unfortunately drawn poorly again but based on his heat effort last week, I think he is good enough to overcome it. After missing the kick, he found a lot of bother but still managed to take a chunk of ground off Bekim in the run home. Bekim Hatrick has produced numerous strong efforts over the 700m journey, so it was an impressive effort to take ground off him over the shorter 600m trip.

Ultor Bale pinged the lids last week and scored an impressive 34.61 heat win and prior to that he scored a strong Sandown 595m win from this draw. He has the ability to lead or come from off the speed so he should figure prominently. Rumero Reason should be thereabouts also, he has a wide runner drawn directly outside him and he should get every chance to settle much closer to the speed tonight.

Top Four: 7 – 6 – 1 – 4

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 7/1,4,6/Field ($18 for 100%)

Trifecta: 7/1,4,6/1,4,6 ($6 for 100%)

Trifecta: 1,6,7/1,6,7/1,3,4,6,7 ($18 for 100%)

Race 10 – 525M Grade 5 – 10:25PM

Cobra Bale has been in solid form of late and he gets his chance to return to the winners list. Tonight he has a fast beginner drawn directly underneath and that should allow him to get a nice cart across in the early stages. He is a very fast chaser when on the bunny and he looks well placed in this company.

Upset Boy has been racing without any luck in recent starts and he too is drawn to get a clear run in the early stages. He showed his true ability with a sizzling 27.04 Horsham win in April and a repeat of that will see him be in the mix. State Sensation looks to be the value runner in this event, he is the likely leader and he has shown signs of his best form in recent starts.

Top Four: 6 – 8 – 5 – 4

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Cobra Bale

Boxed Quinella: 5,6,8 ($3 for 100%)

Race 11 – 600M Grade 5 – 10:42PM

Miss Kia Ora has scored a hat trick of wins and two of those wins were at this track. Last week she fired to the early lead and posted an all the way win in 30.21 and the manner in which she hit the line suggested the step up in journey won't hurt.

Blue Viper has turned into a professional placegetter but she is highly talented when . Her racing pattern in recent months suggests that this trip will definitely suit her. She can be a tad slow to begin but tonight's event doesn't appear to have a heap of early speed other than the favourite. Symington could be the smokey in the race. his form isn't crash hot and he is likely to be big odds, however, he does possess talent the pink draw may play into his .

Top Four: 2 – 6 – 8 – 4

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 2/4,6,8/Field ($18 for 100%)

Boxed Quinella: 2,6,8

Also have something small each way on Symington (will be big odds but is definite overs).

Race 12 – 525M Grade 5 – 11:00PM

Full Of Grace is much better than her recent form suggests and tonight I think she will put her explosive early speed to great use. In early April she posted a sizzling 25.07 win and if she can regain that form I think she will get the cash.

Moot Point has the gun draw and he is very strong in the run to the line. This event features a lot of front runners so if he can settle mid pack on the fence, he should be able to pick them off one by one of the back straight. Proven Earner is another strong type and he should be able to run home into a place.

Top Four: 7 – 1 – 4 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Full Of Grace

Trifecta: 1,7/1,7/Field ($12 for 100%)

Quaddie

Leg 1: 5,6
Leg 2: 1,3,5,8
Leg 3: 2
Leg 4: 1,2,3,6
