Tuesday tips for Australian greyhounds 15th August 2017

JUST the one bet yesterday and sent four units around for no result. We did say Golden Nangar (Barcia Bale x All Too Fancy Dec '15) had the ability to be inconsistent in his starts, and that proved to be his and our undoing. No real damage done from yesterday's free greyhound tips and hopefully some better opportunities today.

Gawler Greyhounds

Best Bet: Race 6 Box 8 Luca Bazooka
Very interesting race with only two real winning hopes and a very wet Gawler track to go with it. The only possibles here are Rhynstone Teddy from box one and Luca Bazooka (Vapour Whirl x Sharlinda Apr '15) from box eight. Rhynstone Teddy is a faster greyhound, but has been steeping awkwardly from the boxes and then does want to get off the rail on the first corner. He's going to start a very short favourite in this and really doesn't look like he'll get that clear of a run early. we'll get great value about Luca Bazooka who looks the likely leader from box eight, and is capable of putting enough of a gap in the field to hold off Rhynstone Teddy late. Luca Bazooka has great mid race pace but does get tired the last 10 metres so we want to be entering the home straight with quite a few lengths over the favourite, especially on this heavy track.

Horsham Greyhounds

Two best bets from Horsham today, and for reasons that will be published in our Greyhound News Print version later today we are looking for value by avoiding the greyhounds drawn the outside three boxes.

Pittsy Lomar (Vee Man Vane x Elite Madam Jan '14) has been racing consistently and won his last start at Bendigo over 500m in good fashion. Is a very good greyhound when able to lead, but can come from behind and gives every indication this track will suit ideally. Has inconsistent beginners drawn to his inside, so could lead this but is capable of coming over the top of them late as well. Couple of handy types disadvantaged by drawing out wide in this race and we might get slightly better odds about Pittsy Lomar because of it.

Zipping Jacy (Dyna Tron x Yarramundi Flash Aug '15) took the straight to run down Master Rico last week but always looked like he would get there after overcoming a little interference. The litter is flying and has proved a nice one to follow for our tips.Comes in to the 1-4 win final here today and draws box one which should give him the rail through the corner and give him every chance to lead or run down whatever is leading. Really well suited to this track and ready to fire at his third run at this new track.
