Leg 1 – Gawler – Race 5: Storm Allen To Place (Top Two Finish Required) $3
Storm Allen is a highly consistent chaser and she has a solid record here having been placed in six of her nine tries. She is armed with good early speed and she finds herself in a race which lacks genuine early speed, so with a clean getaway she should be able to lob into the top two or three and she will be quite strong in the run to the line. The $7 for the win is a nice price but the value is with Here Comes Henry as a big danger, I think the top two finish is the safer option.
Leg 2 – Horsham – Race 3: Velo Girl To Place (Top Two Finish Required) $3.20
Velo Girl is much better than her form indicates and she should appreciate the drop in class today. She has been bombing the start of late, however she is capable of beginning a lot better than that and with an even getaway she should be able to settle mid field. She is a very strong chaser and she does have great track sense, she is currently well over the odds and I suggest you snap up these odds early.
Leg 3 – Gosford – Race 5: Emma Phase To Place (Top Two Finish Required) $1.80
Emma Phase is a smart middle distance chaser and she was a strong Gardens winner two runs back in 35.07. Tonight she takes on a fairly average lineup and from the inside draw she should be able to settle in the top two early and from there on she will take some catching. She has won two of four over this track and trip and she should have too much zip. She is currently $3.50 for the win which is a great price if you're looking for a bet outside the multi.
