Leg 1 – The Meadows – Race 8: Lektra Outlaw To Place $3
Lektra Outlaw is much better than his recent form reads and from the red draw he should get every chance to return to form. I am expecting him to begin well and if he does he should be able to punch through and hold the early lead and he has proven to be very hard to get past when on the lure. He has won six of 26 here with a further seven placings and this race isn't overly strong, so he appears to be good value in this event.
Leg 2 – Ballarat – Race 6: It's A Blast To Win $3.40
It's A Blast is ideally drawn in the pink tonight and he looks very well graded. His most recent form hasn't been great but he hasn't experienced a lot of luck in running in those events and from the favourable draw I'm expecting a forward showing. He isn't a brilliant beginner but he does muster speed very quickly and there isn't an abundance of early speed engaged in the race. He is currently $3.40 and I think that is a good price and he should firm closer to jump time.
Leg 3 – Cranbourne – Race 10: Dozer Tron To Place (Top Two) $1.62
Dozer Tron is an absolute speed freak and he couldn't have drawn any better. He has won 10 of 24 over this track and trip and with the empty draw underneath he should be afforded all the breaks in the early stages. He is taking on Mighty Sprite who recently broke the track record here but I think one out Dozer Tron has his measure and there shouldn't be any excuses tonight. I chose the place option because I think he should be a $1.20 for a top two finish, so the $1.62 is an attractive price.
