Race 1 – 520M Grade 5 Heat – 7:27PM

Tough race to open the night but the speedy Make A Fifty has returned to her best of late and she may prove too zippy for them. Two starts ago she led throughout when scoring at in 30.24 and on that occasion she disposed of a quality line-up. There are a few runners with early speed in this event and but I think she has enough early toe to cross them and at around the $6.00 mark that is great shopping.

Mazzy Star looms as the obvious danger. Drawn in the red she should be able to settle in the top three and she was a handy 30.12 winner here in May, a repeat of that will see her fight out the finish. Crazy Cosmos could be the blowout chance, prior to her big defeat at , she had been racing in consistent style on the country circuit. Another positive for her is her early speed, she can go very quick early and this field isn't overly strong.

Top Four: 4 – 1 – 8 – 7

Suggested Bets:

Win bets on Make A Fifty and Crazy Cosmos

Boxed Quinella: 1,4,8 ($3 for 100%)

Trifecta: 1,4,8/1,4,8/Field ($30 for 100%)

Race 2 – 520M Grade 5 Heat – 7:50PM

Interesting race with the classy Avondale Zena dropping in grade, whilst former top sprinter Clockwise is resuming from an 11 month break. I've decided to go with the well graded Avondale Zena, she has been racing in much tougher company of late and if you go back four starts ago, she was an impressive 29.86 winner here. Her last 40m isn't the best but she should have built up a big enough lead off the back straight. If you can find $3.00 or better that is great value.

Clockwise is resuming and it's impossible to know where she's currently at, however she is in good hands and I'm sure wouldn't be running her unless she was somewhere near her best. Prior to going for a spell she had won three races here with a PB of 29.89. Miss Mariah is another interesting runner, she comes her with some mixed form. Two starts ago she scored a sizzling 22.56 win and then followed that up with a poor fourth, if she shows her best she can be a contender.

Top Four: 5 – 6 – 4 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Avondale Zena

Exacta: 5/2,4,6 ($3 for 100%)

Trifecta: 5/2,4,6/Field ($18 for 100%)

Race 3 – 520M Grade 5 Heat – 8:08PM

Decided to look for a bit of value and have gone with the strong Lach's Wish. Her past few starts have been over the longer journey at Dapto but I think she is better suited back to the 500m trip. She has won six races here and she finds herself in a field full of front runners, if she can avoid bother at the first bend she should be able to settle midfield and then begin to pick them off one by one off the back straight.

The consistent Lacey Lois must be considered as the main danger. She has been placed in four of her past five here and she faces a significant drop in class. Normally a good beginner, she should find herself in the top two as they enter the first bend and if she avoids bother she will make her presence felt. Maria's Impact must also be respected, she has shown a lot of improvement over past few weeks and it appears that she is running out the 500m journey a little stronger.

Top Four: 7 – 6 – 2 – 5

Suggested Bets:

Each Way Lach's Wish

Trifecta: 6,7/6,7/Field ($12 for 100%)

Boxed Quinella: 2,6,7 ($3 for 100%)

Race 4 – 520m Grade 5 Heat – 8:27PM

Aurora Girl has been competing against some high class speedsters of late and she looks perfectly placed in this company. The middle pin is obviously a little concern but I think she is good enough to win even if she finds a little trouble in running. Four starts ago she was beaten by just over three lengths behind the in form Cawbourne Whip and in that event they recorded a ridiculous 29.50, if she reproduces that effort she will win with a leg in the air.

Kitchener Rum has been racing handy fashion of late and she was desperately unlucky here last week, after pinging the lids she was going to settle in the top two but as they headed into the turn she was dragged down. She doesn't have a lot of early speed drawn around her tonight so she should get every chance to lead. Tinkabella Rose is the run on dog in the event, she is likely to get a long way back early but she will motor home and she is a great anchor for third and fourth in your exotic bets.

Top Four: 5 – 2 – 7 – 8

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 5/2,7,8/Field ($18 for 100%)

Trifecta: 2,5/2,5,7,8/1,2,3,5,7,8 ($24 for 100%)

First Four: 2,5,8/2,5,8/7/Field ($30 for 100%)

First Four: 2,5,8/2,5,8/Field/7 ($30 for 100%)

Race 5 – 520M Grade 5 Heat – 8:50PM

Tough race to assess but I think I'm going to go with the class edge and put Zola Icon on top. Her form of late has been a little mixed but it's hard to ignore her 30.73 win in June in which she won by a whopping 16.50 lengths. She has missed the kick at her past couple of starts but tonight's event only features one or two chasers with genuine early speed, so if she can step fairly cleanly she will get every chance to punch through at the first bend.

Rosey Gardens is better known as a stayer but from the red she should be able to settle much closer to the speed than normal and with this not being an overly strong race she should be in the finish. Chloe's Hand comes here with brilliant short course form in Victoria and I would expect her to be in the first two early, however she is very suspect over the last 60m. If you're looking for a great place investment, Miss Fiction could be the one. She will trail them early but she will unwind a monster finish.

Top Four: 2 – 1 – 6 – 7

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Zola Icon

Place Bet: Miss Fiction

Boxed Quinella: 1,2,6 ($3 for 100%)

Trifecta: 1,2,7/6/Field ($18 for 100%)

Trifecta: 1,2,7/Field/6 ($18 for 100%)

Race 6 – 520M Free For All – 9:12PM

Zipping Willow is currently racing in rare form and after last week's commanding 29.35 win here it's hard to see her being beaten. Last week she was airborne early and went through the first sector in 5.31 and she maintained her high speed throughout the journey. Tonight she has slow beginners drawn either side and therefore she should get every chance to repeat last week's effort. She is going to be short but I can't see her being beaten.

Bessy Boo continues to impress and she has recorded two powerful wins here of late. After capturing the Mosman Classic she followed that up with a strong finishing win here last week in 29.79. She is likely to get back in the field again but has an uncanny knack of being able to weave her way through a field. Cawbourne Whip is obviously a chance but she is very inconsistent and her chances hinge her being able to find the early lead. Gradence is another who will hit the line hard and like I say each week, he is a great dog to anchor for third and fourth in your exotic bets.

Top Four: 6 – 5 – 1 – 3

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 6/1,3,5/1,3,5 ($6 for 100%)

Trifecta: 6/1,3,5/Field ($18 for 100%)

Trifecta: 6/5/Field ($6 for 100%)

Race 7 – 520M Grade 5 – 9:35PM

Oh So Striking has been racing with limited luck of late and he is bursting to break through. In his last two starts here, he has found himself well back in the field and finding bother. On both occasions he really hit the line hard and still managed to run second. Tonight's event features quite a few front runners and he should be able to settle just off the speed and then pick them off one by one off the back straight.

Magic Dream is racing in good style and he looked quite strong in the run to the line when scoring here in 30.10 recently. To me he looks the clear leader and if Oh So Striking happens to find trouble he will prove hard to reel in. Le Burglar is showing plenty of promise and he recently scored a strong 30.35 win here, the time wasn't flashy but I think he can go a lot quicker than that.

Top Four: 6 – 3 – 2 – 5

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 6/2,3,5/Field ($18 for 100%)

Trifecta: 3,6/3,6/Field ($12 for 100%)

Quinella: 6 to rove with 2,3,5 ($3 for 100%)

Race 8 – 520M Mixed 4/5 – 9:57PM

Knot Telling Ya really caught my eye last week, from the pink he began well and then crashed to the fence, unfortunately he found bother and lost his momentum. Underneath him tonight there is only one runner with genuine early speed and if he can step as cleanly as he did last week, he should find himself in the top two as they head for the back straight. I think you should see around the $8.00 mark or better, which is a great each-way investment.

Freddy Diesel looked impressive when winning by nine lengths here two runs back and he appears well graded tonight. He isn't the flashiest of beginners but he does muster pace quickly and he shouldn't be far away once they settle into stride. showed big improvement when placed here last week and he exits the same draw again, whilst Take It All is still a long way from his best but is still good enough to feature in this.

Top Four: 5 – 4 – 8 – 1

Suggested Bets:

Each way on Knot Telling Ya

Quinella: 5 to rove with 1,4,8 ($3 for 100%)

Trifecta: 5/1,4,8/Field ($18 for 100%)

Race 9 – 520M Grade 5 – 10:17PM

Apollo Reign has come up with the gun draw and looks well placed in this event. He normally isn't the best of beginners but from the red he should be able to hunt up as they head into the bend and find himself in the top three as they head for the back straight. He has a smart 29.92 PB here but with a trouble free run he can probably get down to the 29.70 mark.

Ritza Raider is dropping considerably in class and after two consecutive placings here he is ready to return to the winners list. Last week he was beaten by four lengths in a 29.64 and a repeat of that will see him feature, the middle pin is the only concern tonight. Cawbourne Power as his name suggests is a very powerful chaser but he can do a lot of things wrong. He returned to form with a come from behind 25.49 win last time and he should be sharpened up by that effort. If he can get through the first bend unscathed he should be in the mix.

Top Four: 1 – 4 – 7 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Win bets on Apollo Reign and Cawbourne Power (both should be good value)

Boxed Quinella: 1,4,7 ($3 for 100%)

Trifecta: 1,4,7/1,4,7/Field ($36 for 100%)

Race 10 – 520M Grade 5 – 10:35PM

Remember Ross was a tad unlucky here two runs back when he went down narrowly to the promising Shanlyn Patch. Tonight he exits the same draw and his last victory came from this draw at when stopping the clock in a sizzling 29.60. He has a slow beginner drawn in the two and that should allow him to get enough room to muster speed.

Kool Larocca is an explosive youngster who comes here with dazzling Bulli Form. He has won five of his seven starts to date and they have all been in brilliant times. Having his first look at the track is always a concern but he does have blistering speed and if he can handle the first turn he will definitely make his presence felt. Billy Bowlegs must be included in your exotic bets, he will get back early but he does have a great finish and there are a few runners who will struggle to run the trip right out.

Top Four: 1 – 5 – 7 – 3

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Remember Ross

Trifecta: 1,5,7/1,5,7/Field ($36 for 100%)

Trifecta: 1/3,5,7/Field ($18 for 100%)

Quaddie

Leg 1: 1,2,4,6,7
Leg 2: 6
Leg 3: 2,3,6
Leg 4: 1,4,5,8

$60 for 100%
