Greyhound Tips for Sunday 7th July 2013
Albion Park Greyhounds Race 9 Box 1, Sundance Tycoon, 7.53pm
This girl looks the winner here and me might be able head them off here from box 1. She has a huge motor and should have too much speed and strength for her rivals here. Its a tough race and I doubt she will start the outright favourite, however punters may be able to achieve odds of $2.50 here. At that price it will be a matter of the more you put on the more you will get back.
Gawler Greyhounds Race 6 Box 4, Hopes Up, 6.53pm
A very tough race, but one in which value can be achieved. Emerley Lover was extremely disappointing last start from box 1 and has a poor record from the red, with 3 starts for 3 failures. It does make me wonder though, whether he was a 100 percent. Troy Murray's other runner Aston Odin however was 100 percent and flew out, leading all the way in a fast time at big odds. Now the pair will meet again here, and I have the feeling things may come unstuck for the favourite pair here, so I'm going with the brilliant Hope's Up. She fly's around here and has the ability to lead with her best jump. Once she lands on the bunny they wont catch her. Tough race but she'll be over the odds.
Sale Greyhounds Race 6 Box 1, Old Fella, 6.38pm
A very tough final with a few serious gallopers engaged. Darren McDonald has 2 and they look the hardest to beat, however the Britton trained Old Fella has come up with the cherry here, and as we know boxes win races. He broke the 25.00 sec barrier here last week after leading and was just run down. Expect a few lengths of improvement here and that will be enough to see him salute.
He's the value runner and one who I think is worth backing.
