Blue Lorian Is July 2010 Greyhound Of The Month

's for July 2010 is New South Wales stayer . In July the talented Blue chaser won all four starts he competed two at and the heat and final of the AWM Distance Title at the Meadows.

Beautifully prepared by Narellan mentor Peter Whye not only did Blue Lorian win all four of his starts in July he also had won his previous three starts in June two over 642 at Cannington and one over . Making it seven wins on the trot after he proved too good in the feature at the Meadows.

The son of and Winsome Bluebird stayer made it two from two at The Meadows – defeating Reign Over Me by two and quarter lengths in 42.86.

Blue Lorian is now a two-time Group winner, after he also took out the Stayers Challenge at Cannington in February.

Blue Lorian heads back home to New South Wales after racing in Queensland and WA in recent months, he'll line up in one of two heats of the Distance Championship at Wentworth Park this Saturday night.

Blue Lorian is a Blue dog whelped December 2007 by Surf Lorian from Winsome Bluebird (Lansley Bale x Winsome Duchess). He raced and trained by Peter Whye at Narellan in New South Wales. He has now won 21 races and been placed on 15 occasions from his 42 starts. His overall prizemoney stands at $132,195.

July saw a number of group races decided. Blue Lorian beat Group 1 winner El Grand Senor and Group 2 winners Din's Son, Mr. Metz, Flash Of Light, and Did I Entertain for the monthly award.
