Dentax Bale Blouses Bob Payne Winter Stake Rivals

Even money favourite just failed in his bid to become Australaia's highest stake winning greyhound when he could only manage third place to the Brendon Wheeler trained Dentax Bale in Saturday night's Classic, much to the joy of our Australian Racing Greyhound tips followers.

El Galo jumped well and led at the first turn but only by a narrow margin from who also began well. Eventual winner Dentax Bale was well back in fifth place.

Down the back, El Galo still led but Foxhill Bella and Lukekely Magic were taking ground from the champion with Dentax Bale commencing a long run from fourth place.

Approaching the home turn, Foxhill Bella had got the better of El Galo but Dentax Bale was beginning what was to prove to be a paralyzing run.

Coming from the clouds Dentax Bale quickly put paid to the opposition, coming away to record an exciting win in the smart time of 30.05, with the margins 6.75 lengths x a head.

The win was Dentax Bales thirteenth from just the nineteen starts and his fourth at the Wentworth Park circuit from five attempts. The win also solidfy's Collision remarkable recent run as a greyhound sire and surely means he'll hold down the claim to Australia's leading sire for another month with High Earner racing so well at the same time.

While was ecstatic with winning such a prestigious Group 2 race, was obviously disappointed that his great sprinter had not been able to break the record. However, he was magnanimous in defeat, saying he hasn't made a decision on the greyhound's future at this stage.

On the strength of Saturday's win, Dentax Bale looks set for bigger and better things and astute trainer Wheeler is sure to pursue more Group events with this son of Collision.

Dentax Bale is a Brindle dog whelped July 2007 by Collision from Maple Bale (Prince Of Tigers x Shadow Osti) he has raced 19 times for 13 wins and three placings and with Saturday's night first prize of $25,000, he took his stake earnings to $54,965.
