AGRA’s Run of the Month for May 2009 has been awarded to Victorian young sprint star Dyna Forte for his brilliant performance in winning a heat of the Maturity at the Meadows on May 9th.
Dyna Forte missed the start from box one, then was in trouble in the run to the first turn where he got some checks, once balanced up and getting clear of the pack he stood the leader, the flying Gardam Prince a margin of about 10 lengths half way up the back straight.
He was still five lengths from Gardam Prince at the home turn, but knuckling down to task at hand he flew home in the latter stages to nail the favourite right on the post.
A week later in the his semi final Dyna Forte again cut down a big lead this time set up by the well fancied Nova Surf he won again right on the line in the fastest of the semi finals 29.93.
Dyna Forte had no luck in the final of the Maturity trying to anticipate the start he hit his head on the boxes causing a cut injury and destroying any chance he had in the rich final. Dyna Forte is a youngster with a bright future and a fierce desire to chase, there appears many more wins in store for the blue dog from the Graeme Bate kennel.
Dyna Forte is a Blue dog whelped July 2007 by Droopy’s Maldini from Hanicka Bale (Bearability x Mirren Bale) He is raced by Brendan Wheeler and trained by Graeme Bate. Dyna Forte has raced 12 times for six wins and two placings and his stake earnings stand at $16,445.
