Mogambo Out Of Nationals

In a dissapointing end to his comeback from injury, has had to be scratched from this Saturday night's Rapidvite National Sprint Championship Final at Wentworth Park.

On the comeback trail since an injury enforced absence, Mogambo had notched good wins on the road to the Rapidvite National Sprint Championship Final, including a devastating 30.64 Balllarat Track Record run.

The Victorian sprinter Mogambo has had to be scratched from the final after tearing his quad muscle.

Disappointed Trainer Jamie Ennis confirmed the injury a short time ago and said the star sprinter will be out of racing for up to a month.

Mogambo would have been young Jamie Ennis' first National Sprint Championship Final runner and the first for the Ennis family since his father Gary started Freewheeler in the 1998 National Sprint Championship Final.

The scratching paves the way for Richard Dean's to gain a start in the big race.

Dean and his wife, Patricia took out the 1999 National Sprint Final at Wentworth Park with Harry Hand.

Hendrix (Hallucinate ~ Thia Again) will not be out of place in the Rapidvite National Sprint Championship Final as he has won all but two of his seven starts at Wentworth Park for $22,620 prizemoney and has a quickest time on the track of 30.01, which should see him highly competitive in the trace.

With Mogambo's scratching, Hendrix will gain his start from his favoured box three , from which he has won three of six starts and only had one unplaced run.
