Another Dream Breaks Through At Start 22

Patience was rewarded for trainer Paul Wasson when Another Dream broke through to win at her twenty second start last Friday.

She has travelled far and wide across northern New South Wales in search for that elusive win, and it was finally her turn.

Beginning with the field, she took over at the first bend and kicked clear. Into second place came Mighty Mjala with big strides, but he died on his run near the home bend, and that left Another Dream to stroll in by 5 1/2 lengths in a handy 23.43. It may have been her first victory, but it may not be her last in the ease that she completed the task.

North Casino trainer Chris Schaefer is having a great run at present, and he continued on his winning way with another double. Pro Zone set the time standard in the Blue Paws heats when he led all of the way in 27.89. Taxapro gave Chris two into this week’s final and he was also never headed, scoring by 3 1/4 lengths in 27.94.

Bonsai Cloud won the remaining run off for Glenda Dart, when she came home with a “wet sail” to win by a head in 27.97. It was the second win on the day for the Dart kennel with the unusually named galloper Lamb Chop “butchering” her rivals in the Mc Donald’s Pharmacy maiden. She won by 4 3/4 lengths and clocked 28.12.

Completing the sets of “doubles” was Shane Robinson who was successful with Dark Mariner and Skill To Thrill. Dark Mariner ran the best time over the sprint distance – 23.27, when he took out the Madsen’s Meats 5th grade by 5 1/4 lengths. Skill To Thrill made it two in a row when she held off many challengers in the Big Dog Racing Supplements distance stake. She was always in the lead, but when greyhounds came from everywhere on the line, she was able to scramble home by a half head.

The Brad Northfield trained Kidatee Alf returned home from his tilt at the Dapto auction series and soon got back in winning vein. Clearing the pack at the first turn, he raced clear in the back before saluting by 2 3/4 lengths in 23.39. Charlie Northfield won the Casino RSM Club FFA with Big Cool Ronny who was able to cross over from box eight to trail the leader She Rose High to the home bend. Finishing powerfully, he got up by half a length in 27.90.

Sudoku Man showed his skill by winning the Casino Rural Traders maiden by 3/4 length in 23.68, and Within Radar made it three wins from four starts when he romped away with the last race in 23.57. He won by six lengths after clearing out in the back stretch.

Casino races again this Friday afternoon.
