Blue Lorian Stuns In Easter Chase

Reigning NSW Stayer of the Year, produced an impressive effort in his Group Two Globe Memorial (720m) 42.48 heat win on Saturday at .

Recording his first ever box eight win, Blue Lorian finished strong on a wet track to claim a 1 ½ length victory over South Australian stayer Kalden Mayhem.

Trainer Peter Whye pleased with the greyhound's win which follows on from his at Richmond (717m) last Saturday (April 9).

“He loves to be in front, and he is responding well to what we have changed in the last few weeks which resulted in the Richmond record,” Whye said.

“I wouldn't have minded box four, but I am happy with box one and given his confidence levels at the moment I think he will improve next week.”

“I am happy with the six, with the early speed on the inside hopefully he can come out and get the sit on the fence,” trainer Keith Pedrana said.

“I like him to come out mid field, and they won't want him to be sitting on the back of them because I am confident he can run any of them down.

“I would be wrapped to have two Group Two wins in two months, it would be a great achievement and the greyhound really deserves it,” Pedrana said.
