Casino Treble To Shane Robinson

The trend of multiple wins for trainers continued on with Shane Robinson landing a winning treble.

New arrival to the kennel, Mantic's Pride opened the account when she led throughout in the Ranvet stake.

Crossing quickly from her outside draw, she was able to take up the running at the first bend and kick away. It was a procession from that point, with Mantic's Pride romping home by 14 1/4 lengths running 27.51.

Last year's Casino Cup winner resumed form a short let up and took out the Casino RSM Club Free For All. She railed through at the first bend to take the lead, and when challenges came near home, she rallied to win by 1 3/4 lengths in 23.46.

Putting the “icing” on the cake was who was too strong in the final event. She scored by 2 1/4 lengths clocking 23.18. Shane is a great supporter of the Casino club, and it was a fitting reward for the consistent form of his greyhounds.

were the order of the day, with Beaver Fever winning the Charcoal Inn Free For All in a fast 27.15. He is the track record holder for the 484 metres in 27.08, and the win extended his winning streak to three. Trainer told me that he is continually surprised in what this rising four year old can do, as he has now won eighteen races on the Queen Elizabeth Park circuit.

Promising maiden set the time standard for the sprint course when she clocked an amazing 22.94 in the Richmond Valley Pet Foods Maiden. Well supported at her previous starts, the Neville Robson trained sprinter didn't let backers down as she swept to the lead at the first bend before racing away to win by eleven lengths.

Owner and trainer Pat Blore have had a great relationship over the years, and they returned to the winners circle when Bomber's Chant took out the Madsen's Gourmet Meats stake. He got to the front as they entered the back straight, and in the “wash up” scored by two lengths clocking 23.45.

Former distance track record holder Compassionate returned to her best by winning the Big Dog Racing Supplements distance stake in 35.73 for , and Rose Chalice joined the leaders in the back section, before saluting in the Westlawn Finance stake. She won by 4 3/4 lengths, running 27.52 for Helen and .

Agent Em got up in the last stride to win the Mc Donald's Pharmacy stake in 27.51 for Des Gilroy, whilst Petite Tory was rewarded for recent placings by racing away with the Automotive stake in 23.26. The petite performer won by 9 1/4 lengths for Murwillumbah conditioner Alan Whitmore.

The remaining event went to Happy Hopper who is prepared by John and Jeanette Mc Grory. He went straight to the front, and won by 5 1/2 lengths recording 27.36.

Casino race again this Friday afternoon, with heats of the Blue Paws 5th grade sprint over 411 metres.
