Centrebet Trophy Finals Sees Gatt Double

Thirlmere trainer dominated his opposition at on Monday night (June 20) claiming the quinella with Mr. Meana and Things Missing in the 515 metre Trophy Final.

Mr. Meana was faultless off the red box leading all the way in the 27.80 best of the night performance, finishing 3 lengths clear of kennel mate Things Missing, which started from box five.

The duo's success scoring Gatt over $22,000 is prizemoney while kennel followers were treated to luxurious odds of $8.00 for Mr. Meana and $22.50 for the quinella.

Well supported Tuiaki (box eight) for rallied strongly in the home straight to claim third position, while race favourite Iron Bar Lenny (box seven) suffered interference at the first turn, dashing the hopes of followers early in the event.

Centrebet's Neil Evans said the event had attracted a high calibre of greyhound, especially given the other feature events occurring across New South Wales.

“Both the heats and final of the Centrebet Trophy attracted some great greyhounds, it is a credit to Bulli to be able to run such an event for $19,000 to the winner,” Evans said.

Melissa Aramini trained Premier Journey started favourite for the event, recording the fastest qualifying time last week of 30.18.

And the ~ Best Of Diablo bitch never gave backers cause for any concern, exploding from box one to lead clearly to the post the first time, and continuing the run to cruise to an all the way 30.31 three length win over Rumble Hero and Star.
