Christmas Cup Heats At Betchoice Gardens Greyhounds Today

Four very competitive heats of the Christmas Cup for fourth and fifth grade gallopers are the highlight of today's fixture at Betchoice Gardens.

Emma Robbo for Williamtown couple Eileen and Gary Robertson looks the hardest to beat in the opening heat, which is race two on the card. In her first win over the Betchoice Gardens 515 metre circuit, Emma Robbo last start lowered the colours of boom chaser Noar In Knocka, who will start favourite at tonight.

The daughter of and Rose Robbo is a reliable beginner and from box four should be in a prominent position from the outset, but there will be early pressure from Looks Like Lyn (2) and Science Lesson (5).

The inform Dutch Daniel is the one to beat in the second heat, which is race six and the second leg of today's quaddie.

The half brother to Two winner, by , has won three of his five career starts, with all three wins coming from his latest outings, including a last start 29.92. His average winning margin is a sizeable five lengths.

The form analyst has made Dutch Daniel the best bet of the day, stating;

“DUTCH DANIEL (3) is airborne at the moment winning 3 straight over this T/D, can show good early speed and should be handy early, the one to beat.”

In the third qualifier, race eight and the final leg of the quaddie, the job of track specialist Holy Tolly has been made much easier with the scratching of the unbeaten Reckling.

The son of Benny's Toll and Polly's Fury has won five and been placed 10 times from 21 starts at Betchoice Gardens and has a sizzling best time of 29.65 for the 515 metres, by far the fastest of any of the chasers in the series.

Despite box eight, Holy Tolly is the standout of the race especially with the withdrawal of Reckling, which had won his only two starts in Victoria and was the big query of the race.

And the final heat, race 10 the last race of the program, is the most open of the series.

Shy Flyer (4) has won two of his past three starts, including a win over the course and distance in respectable time. Sister Ping (6) has recorded the fastest winning time of the heat contestants and should be respected, while Oh Snap, a full relation to NSW , , should be running home strongly.

Today's bumper program at will be seen live on Skyracing1 and you can bet live at or Iasbet with the first race of the card scheduled to kick off at 3.47pm AEDT.
