Crown Hi Impressive In Casino Blue Paws Maiden

A smart beginning allowed maiden greyhound run a fast 27.58 in winning his heat of the maiden last .

The Jason Fredericks trained galloper had been tardy at box rise in his previous two starts, but the improvement in box manners showed his true ability.

The second heat went to Dellema Solved who also showed got speed from the traps. He bustled across from box seven to take up the running at the first turn, and went right on with it to run 27.76. trains him at Ellangowan, and he scored by 1 1/4 lengths.

Most improved galloper ran 27.56, the best time over the 484 metres, when she won the Richmond Valley Pet Supplies stake for Empire Vale trainer Carol Coveney. It was her seventh win, and she is getting a real penchant for the circuit clocking up her fifth win here. She took over at the first bend and won by 3 1/4 lengths.

Green Lee ran marginally slower (27.57), when she won the Casino Rural Traders stake for . She was another to lead throughout, but she did have to withstand a mid race challenge from Kidatee Matt. He loomed up on the circle, but Green Lee was far too strong going on to win by 5 3/4 lengths.

Yorklea Valley showed what a strong greyhound he is when he won the Casino RSM Club Flying for Tony Marras. Not Too Shabby jumped well and looked allover a winner when she led at the top turn. At this point Yorklea Valley knuckled down to the task, and put in the big strides. Finishing by far the better, he got up by 3/4 length in the best time over the “shorts” – 23.07.

Pat and Sue Lavis had nine runners engaged at the meeting, but had to wait until the last race to get a winner. It was that broke the drought when she railed through at the top turn to grab the premier position. She ran a smart 23.20, and there would have been celebrations into the night as it was Pat and Sue's wedding .

Elanora Lass appreciated a drop back in class, and she was never headed in winning the Big Dog Racing Supplements stake for Shane Robinson clocking 23.25. Earlier, Bralyn Lilly gave Brad and Lynne Northfield a winner, when she won in similar fashion, running 23.33.

Linda Benn finally broke back into the winners circle when Sodoku Girl ran away from her rivals to win by 5 1/2 lengths in 23.46, while Gem Max found a gap along the fence to take out the distance event for Maurie Mc Cardle. Gem Max has found top form and scored by 4 1/2 lengths in 35.75.

Last, but not least, ran a personal best time of 23.18 for local conditioner Athol Bradley. He won by 3 1/2 lengths and continued Athol's run with his small team.

Casino will race again next Friday afternoon.
