The final of the Group 3 Sportingbet Cyril Rowe Plate takes place at Bulli on Wednesday at 9:25pm, which is Race 8 on the card. My Signature (4) is the favourite to take out the race after an impressive debut at the track in the heats. Belfast Johnny (5) is on the second line of betting, with Knocka's Return the third favourite after being the fastest heat winner. This is a tough final, with plenty of chances.
Trainer unavailable for comment. ARG opinion is – Has speed early but will need to be a clear leader to be in with a chance as there are faster and stronger dogs in the field.
Comments: Troy Vella (Trainer) – “If he jumps with them I know he can go close but he didn't jump too good last week. We've been doing a bit of work with him since last week's run, so we are expecting him to go pretty good. He will be very competitive. He missed the kick badly from the eight last week because of the silent lure at Bulli. He seems to fight a bit harder when he's in the middle of the pack to push through.”
Trainer unavailable for comment. ARG opinion is –Strong dog who just needs some room to move in the early stages of the race. If he gets the room, watch him unwind at the finish. Big hope.
Comments: Clay Mullens (Trainer) – “He's not the fastest dog in the race, but anything can happen. He will be better for the run this week. I was really impressed with his run last week. I would rather the rail, but being such a long straight the outside won't bother him too much. He's definitely the improver.”
Ron Oldfield (Kennel Representative) –“He jumped well last week and handled the outside box and got himself across to the fence and led. I'm hoping that he will come out just as well this week. He's drawn the eight but he's got a fair bit of speed underneath him. He went well last week and he's pulled up okay himself so we're hoping that he'll go okay. I think there's a few chances in the race. When you've got box eight, you've got to get across seven good dogs. It's not easy, you've got to put everything together and you've got to jump well and show pace and you've got to go left to get across them. If you stay out on the track they'll hunt up underneath you. We hope he's a chance.”
Comments: Was very unlucky last week when trying to make a run in the first half of the race. A chance if he gets a suitable draw.

As stated, this is a tough race on paper. There's plenty of early speed amongst Spring Eddie (2), My Signature (4), Belfast Johnny (5) and Osteria Mozza (8). Belfast Johnny is still adjusting to the silent lure and if he times the start well in the final, he will be hard to beat. If My Signature leads, he will be hard to run down. Knocka's Return (6) is a very fast animal and if he can get a clear run, is capable of anything. Zipping Logan (3) doesn't have a bad record at Bulli, while Fast Archer (7) is the natural improver with this race being his second run back from a spell. If any dog makes a mistake in the race, the experienced Ritza Ryder (1) will be there to capitalise. He loves Bulli and has won a feature event at the track previously.
