A rather chilly night fo racing was seen the Central Coast last Tuesday night but nevertheless a healthy crowd was in attendance to witness a good night’s racing on July 22.

The 400m maiden was taken out by McGarry trained by Ivan Zucchiatti of Cremorne, running a smart 23.22secs with a fast first section of 10.84. By Bond ex Regal Viola McGarry was having only his third race start and looks to be a promising pup.

Wyee trainer Tony Duggan had plenty to smile about after litter sisters Julia Gee & McKew won their respective races. By Collision ex Formula Queen McKew won her maiden at Wentworth Park back in March but has since been plagued by bad box draws, while Julia Gee was having only her fourth start in a race.

Bertie Sannette made it three wins from only four starts when he led throughout over the 515m trip. Owned by Daniel Gatt and trained by Mark Gatt at Ingleburn, Bertie Sannette was beaten at Taree at his first start in a race, but after a break of some three months has strung together three impressive wins, two at Dapto and this one at Gosford.

Hallucinating owned by David Matterson and trained at Umina by Ray Matterson ran right up to his recent good form with a strong come from behind to win in 30.29secs over the 515m journey. After trailing the speedy Rain King early Hallucinating raced away to score by 4¼ lens, landing some very nice wagers in the process.

In the 4/5 grade 600m event, Young Alex returned to the winners list with a strong win. A Wentworth Park winner over 7320m back in early June, this Ron Bell owned and trained dog appreciated the drop back to TAB class.
