Another hot run on Tuesday night was that of Mint Octane. Owned by Ray Watson & trained by Robert Smith Mint Octane trailed the speedy Luke's Rocket early before racing away to score by 4¾ lens in 29.99 for the 515m. Mint Octane has now had three starts at Gosford for three wins all in smart times.
The Keith Pedrana trained Slick Lee was another to score in smart time when he came from a long way back early to record a ¾ len victory in 30.19. Appreciating the drop back in class from the Semi‟s of the Vic Peters Slick Lee took his overall record to two wins & four minors from just eight starts.
Other good wins on the night were recorded by La Voca (30.24) for trainer John Sweet, Little Irish (23.32) for trainer Craig King & True Intentions who scored an all the way win for Wyong owner/trainer Evelyn Harris.
