GBOTA Director Sue Absalom Centre Of Racing Integrity Investigation
Harness Racing NSW Integrity Manager Mr Reid Sanders and Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Stewards last week commenced an inquiry into the alleged conduct of Ms Susan Absalom at the Wentworth Park meeting on 13 October 2012.
Evidence was taken from Ms Absalom, GRNSW Racing Manager Mr Noel Ovington and GRNSW Grader Mr Mitch Reid.
After consideration of the evidence Stewards issued a charge against Ms Absalom acting under GAR86 (f) (iii) in that she had engaged in improper conduct at the abovementioned Wentworth Park meeting whereby she had labelled Mr Ovington and GRNSW General Manager, Racing and Integrity Mr Bill Fanning as “corrupt.”
After hearing the charge and its particulars Ms Absalom requested permission of the stewards that the matter be adjourned in order for her to seek legal advice.
The inquiry was subsequently adjourned at the request of Ms Absalom and rescheduled for Thursday, 13 December 2012.
