Marley Bale wins 2016 Grp3 The Ambrosoli
2016 Group 1 Sliver Chief placegetter Marley Bale, last night won his first group race winning the Group 3 The Ambrosoli for trainer Andrea Dailly and owner Paul Wheeler.
Marley Bale added $25,000 to his prize money tally to take his career earnings to $75,138 by winning the what is effectively the Golden Easter Egg consolation race, The Ambrosoli.
The Ambrosoli, which is only open to greyhounds who finished third and fourth in the Group 1 Golden Easter Egg semi-finals; was always in Marley Bale's keeping from the box eight draw after Black Bear Lee (box five) crowded the inside field, running cover for the sone of Turanza Bale and giving him a clear run to the first corner and the lead.
Marley Bale took his career record to seven wins from 18 starts, with a further seven placings; and looks to have a bright future ahead having only turned two years of age four months ago.
