NSW GBOTA To Hold The Reins At The Gardens
The NSW Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers' Association confirms that it has accepted an interim management role at the Birmingham Gardens Complex.
The appointment follows Greyhound Racing NSW's decision this week to revoke the registration of the NSW NCA at the venue.
The NSW GBOTA has been requested to manage the facility from Monday, August 5, 2013 until the end of 2013.
The NSW GBOTA Chairman, Mr Geoff Rose said the Hunter Valley greyhound racing region remains of vital importance to the NSW Industry in total and, as such, his Association would contribute as effectively as it possibly could to the continuation of racing at The Gardens.
At the time of writing, management structures we being finalised, however, the GBOTA is confident that racing operations will continue seamlessly and that participants supporting The Gardens project would not be disadvantaged in any shape or form.
GRNSW is expected to consider management options beyond December 31, 2013 in the near future.
