NSW Trainers Strike Provides Gift For Pringle

Following two heats of the AAA Radiator Specialists at Wentworth Park on Saturday night (December 8), the final box draw was undertaken trackside.

The $25,000 to winner final on Saturday December 15, includes four runner prepared by Clergate trainer, , after many high profile supported the “no show” trainers strike by not nominating their greyhounds for the classic race.

Claiming both heats, Pringle said he was pleased with his runners and expects further improvement from his team.

Break Loose, owned by soon to be sister-in-law Amy Birdsall, won the opening heat in impressive fashion.

The blue brindle son of x Lachlan's Gift began sweetly from the favourable eight alley, crossing the field to lead all the way in 29.78.

Frank Anderson prepared Left Field finished in second, with Pringle's second starter and race favourite, Moonshine Sally finishing in third.

The second qualifier saw a one-two result for the Central West trainer, with Barney's Magic beating Buck Fever in 29.84.

Both runners came into the series in hot form, after both greyhounds broke the 520m Bathurst a fortnight ago.
