Regal Kayla Posts Back To Back Wins

's greyhounds are starting to get used to the Dubbo loam surface with Regal Kayla making every post a winner in the Winning Edge Lasers Stakes (313m) at Dawson Park on Saturday.

The main sprint of the day saw Regal Kayla ($4.00) lead all the way in a smart 18.36s with 9$3.50) 1-1/2 lengths away second, and the $1.70 favourite Play Cards Now a further 1-3/4 lengths third.

Regal Kayla has now won her past two at Dubbo in good times and it will be interesting to see how she handles the step up in grade in the week's ahead.

Vella has had an imposing record at Mudgee over the past few years and is starting to make his presence felt at Dawson Park.

One of the feature events on the card at Dawson Park was the www.greyhoundsdubbo.com.au Best eight over 400m which brought together a quality line up, including from the kennels at Springside near .

Starting at $5.00, Awesome Wishes finished home too powerfully for early pacesetter Kareela over the concluding stages.

Awesome Wishes now has the imposing record of nine wins from 30 starts and four wins from six 400m Dubbo starts. Time recorded was 23.32s. Kareela at $7.00 was gallant in defeat running 1-1/2 lengths second while the $2.50 favourite Incoming Virus was third.

The McDonald kennel finished with a double on the day with first starter ($1.40 fav) scoring on debut in the Blues Meats Stakes (400m) maiden event.

The Whisky Assassin-Princess Honcho youngster led virtually all the way to score in 23.85s.

It was great to see Terry Wilcher get the chockies with Rosier ($3.00) who kept up the tried and true formula of race one, box one, when Rosier led all the way in 23.60s. Wilcher has just started training his own dogs at Geurie and has now won races with both his dogs. The other being Amerosa.

Peter Dutton bounced back in M and F Hallinan Rearing Stakes (313m) when Blackrain Ace ($1.80 fav) led all the way from box two to score in18.65s.

This Blackrain litter is from Dutton's former top chaser Maribyrnong Girl who for the majority of her career was trained by top Queensland mentor Tony Zammitt.

Jackpot greyhound Diesel Spill ($3.20) dually saluted in race four, the Job Care Cleaning Stakes (313m) after tracking tearaway leader Papa's Bella to the first corner before spearing away for a relatively easy win in 18.60s for owner Cherril Duncombe and trainer Ron Huppatz from Parkes.

Create A Havoc ($3.00) overcame a severe mid race check to score a strong win in Park Spring Sprint (heat two).

Create a Havoc is trained by Jan Steel and finished best to defeat Collective Bang ($4.00) and early leader Zippy Zeet ($3.00) in 23.59s.

The Norm Hardie trained was an impressive winner of the Blue Paws Sprint carving out a slick 30.20s for the 516m trip.

Mostly Hot ($2.00 fav) chased early leader Barbara's Osti in the early part of the race before gaining the upper hand at the top corner.

Miss Maxwell ($4.00) was an eye-catching run for second with Barbara's Osti third at $3.00.

($3.50) made it three wins from her past five starts when she took out heat one of the Dawson park Spring Sprint in good style.

Baroda Pearl speared the lids from the inside to lead clearly, with Eenie Meenie Moo smartly away from the pink box. As they raced down the back the Greg Ford trained bitch asserted her superiority to clear out for a two lengths win.

Baroda Pearl ($5.00) hung on for second with the $1.70 favourite Awesome Vintage third.

Other winner on the day was the Bob Milne trained ($5.00) who took out the lucky last, the BB and LH Greyhound Supplies Stakes (313m), running 18.59s.
