Rock Energy Paws Of Thunder Heats Hit Town

The , Rock Energy heats will rumble Wentworth Park this Saturday night with some of Australia's best greyhounds lining up in this weekend's ten heats.

With 80 nominations received all runners gained a start ensuring all hopefuls will get a crack at taking home this year's $100,000 winner's purse.

The series sees a host of names including veteran campaigners (heat 8) and (heat 6) as well as young stars (heat 7), (heat 5) and HITMAN SANDOW (heat 3)who will all give the title a shake.

Ever young SNOZZ for trainer Jason Mackay lines up in the five ally, following a 30.25 win at headquarters last Saturday (11th September) and his Black Top win over fellow heat eight combatant FLASH OF LIGHT (box 8) on September 4th.

AAA Radiator Specialists Bob Payne Winter Stake winner DID I ENTERTAIN will be hoping to return to his best Wentworth Park form when the Red Brindle dog starts from box eight in heat six. The much loved trained greyhound, will take on TUIAKI, REV LIMITER, LOCHINVAR MARLOW and ASHBY DEVIL who is now being prepared by Victorian Trainer Jason Thompson.

Thompson also returns to the Glebe track with FEDEX (box 5) who will be looking to rejoin the winners circle, having not won since June 2010, taking his place in heat 10 of the Rock Energy Drink series. He will have to face the Kristy Sultana trained boom youngster ROCK CAKES (box 7) who has already recorded two wins from two starts – both box 1 – at Wentworth Park.

Paul Stuart returns to NSW to take on the series with PEDROSA (heat 5, box 2) who has a 30.16 WP win, and a successful lead up through the National Series taking out his respective heat and final in Western Australia before finishing fourth to SMOOTH FANCY in Final. PEDROSA rekindles his battle with the NSW Sprint Champion in heat five with the Anthony trained Black dog drawing the pink.

With a number of interstate trainers making the visit to Wentworth Park this Saturday for the lucrative series, the town will get set to truly rumble with the great racing on offer from 7.27pm, gates open from 5.30pm.
